This has been done to death. People that leave early are strokers, end of.

Is that right? Well, I've paid my money same as everyone else and if it is a shit game I'll get up and leave whenever I want. If it is a good game I'll get up and leave whenever I want. End of.

Not at Withdean obviously.

But the lad who sits beside me at Elland Road, turns up at 3.10pm without fail. He leaves for halt time at 3.38pm. Doesn't return from the bar until about 4.12pm and leaves the ground at 4.40pm.

He pays his money, his choice. But why bother? He misses a good half hour of the game every week. We do have plasma screens in the bars and on the concourse, but if you want to watch it on TV get a Viasat dish and stay home.

Heh.

I go onto the track at extra time to get closer to the pitch and actually get the feeling Im at a football match. Also to give any players/ref some deserved abuse if need be

I've said it before, if they leave early to avoid the 'crowds' at Withdean what time are the going to leave Falmer when we have a full house (he says optimisticly, but you get my point)

You actually waste your own football-watching time by noting that he leaves at exactly 3:38pm?

Well, I guess when you're watching Leeds...

Heh. Nope.

I've had many conversations with him about why he laves when he does and what not and he reeled off the times in a very serious fashion telling me getting a pie and three pints takes X minutes, the toilet takes X minutes, walking up Beeston Hill takes X minutes and on and on. He has it all planned out. He just laughs when I ask why he bothers coming and misses a third of the game every week. I guess he doesn't think it's weird.

Sounds like a very sad and slightly strange individual to me (him, not you).

The running track is the best place to watch the football at Withdean. It's almost like being at a real stadium. You get to stand, there's a bit of atmosphere, the opposition players and lino/ref can actually hear the 'witty' abuse you're sending their way, and there's even crowd surges when something exciting happens.

Frankly I'd much rather watch the whole game from there than endure the mind numbing tedium of the stands and having to sit next to dull bastards going on about how they've been to 7,359 consecutive albion games and have never, not once, no way sirree ever left a game a second early.

The running track is a quality place to watch the game, especially when we score in the last minute i.e. lee steele a few years back but not so good when you see idiots like petterson lying on the floor while the striker rolls the ball into the empty net!

I'll definitely agree with you there. The atmosphere on the running track if we score in those last few minutes is always fantastic.

Andy Petterson was a twat...

If were sh** then I feel I want to leave..so I can get that much needed pint. Considering the ones that do stay mainly shout at the youngsters and have a go at the manager,I feel your the guilty ones.

I pay my money just the same..If I want to pay for half a game,I have the right.

Just as most of you lot had the right to press-gang MM out of a job.

I found it rather amusing that so many missed Sidwell's brace against Burnley. Stay until the end you miserable planks!

I'd forgotten that one.

Cheers for reminding me :)
