Now I am not Whitehawk's biggest fan by a long chalk (not a fan of overspending on the playing side, while doing nothing to improve the infrastructure or long term stability of a football club, but that's another story...), however while we are away at Wigan they face arguably one of the biggest games in their history on Saturday as they strive to secure a play-off spot.

With 2 games to play, Whitehawk hold the final playoff spot on 66 pts, but with Concord facing 2 easy games who are on 62 points, Whitehawk really are going to need 69 points to secure their spot.

They face a very good Hemel Hempstead side on Saturday, followed by a trip to Havant&Waterlooville who have already secured their playoff spot but do have an outside shot at the title depending on Bromley's results - it is on a knife edge for them.

You could find a lot worse ways to spend a Saturday afternoon than taking in a bit of the Conny Sarf!

Also important they try come 3rd/4th, not 5th, as if they come 5th they'll definitely be away for the final.

Whats the point !!!
its only a rich Skip owners plaything until he gets bored , if he was serious he would do the clubs infrastructure and level the pitch rather than spending all his money on overpaying players from a higher level . Oh well back to the Ryman league in 2 years with one man and his dog minus the scaffold stands

I went to watch Whitehawk at home during the international break, it was worth the visit, I enjoyed it.
Very friendly club, decent bar and food.

It didn't really take that long to walk up from the A259.

Maybe getting the playing staff right, winning games and promotions will encourage a bigger supporter fan base and interest.
Hence, increasing the turnover and profits, enabling the infrastructure to be financed and carried out over a planned time period.
Just a thought.

But you have a team that has a squad with one of the biggest wage bill with one of the lowest support.paid by a millionaire owner alledgedly through the books of his company. The takings of their matches doesn't even cover the wages of their manager. Yes they could groundshare at Withdean but who is going to watch them there if they can only muster 200 paying home support for home matches when they are doing well. It will be interesting to see what happens when they go up and have to go to the likes of Gateshead or maybe Hartlepool but time will tell

I think that the ultimate aim is to move to Withdean,be renamed as Brighton City and make a fortune by building on the Enclosed Ground thus recouping the money the owner is spending at the moment.
Whitehawk FC as such will disappear.

Yeah was a brilliant day, you going sat as they could clinch play off spot, and getting the chairman to drop us to seafront ended a good day

I would like to go on Sat but I'm going to Hampshire, should be a good game at Whitehawk.
Are you going to the REMF match at Lewes?

I had HUGE fun at Whitehawk during the international break - 2-1 v Weston Super Mare, took our Hawker drummer McGhee along...particularly loved the air raid siren, the woman playing the stylophone (!) and the chant 'we are Whitehawk, we are Whitehawk, super Whitehawk, from Whitehawk...' In many ways reminds me of the rise of Southwick FC from County League to the Ryman in the 80s/early 90s, big funding with tiny supporter base, fun but ended in tears and then some. Hopefully they can pick up more support from locals and nion league fans. Saturday will be big for sure, but I'll be at Wigan :)

A quid if you are unemployed and living on the estate as well.

Not that you would be jacking up,doing a few drug deals or screwing houses on a Saturday afternoon normally.

500 would be a magnificent crowd.
Especially for the local plod,so they know where they all are.
