Personally, I was quite impressed when I first saw beating floodlights. Hull in FA cup I think.

Given there was that dreadful 'fist bump a Stoke fan' initiative I think people were right to take this extremely seriously. It's a football match, not a ****ing Cliff Richard concert.

Congratulations to the club for not doing it.

Nine pages of outrage, and its not even happening! Classic NSC :)

The world of twitter tweeting that the dazzling floodlight display was just postponed for a future game.

Can I just say NO NO and NO otherwise the next thing will be pyrotechnics and a laser show when a goal is scored

There were no lights at the Goldstone and of course no night matches for us kids to go to when I was a kid. When they were installed I could see them at night from my bedroom window. No flashing then, they were either on or off. The wonders of science.

I hate this 'the kids would love it' bollocks. Did we watch light shows / hear goal music etc. when we were kids at the Goldstone? No. Did it make us like going to football any less? No. It's a game of football not a ****ing circus!

Exactly .
