Which match were the match sponsors talking about giving the MOM to Forster who I thought apart from scoring had a poor match. I think El Abd, Dicker Croft and Bennett were better and deserved it more. Granted his goal got us 3 points, but hardly a MOM performance.

I thought El Abd's perfromance deserved it, just because he is playing out of position which is never easy and did it very well. Compare that to some of his earlier performances this season and the fact he played so well deserves a lot of credit. After that then Dicker, Dickinson, Crofts and Virgo all deserved it ahead of Forster in my view.

El Abd or Dicker for me

I have to say I have not been a fan of El abd to the point that I wince when I see his name of the sheet. Credit to him today though , he made me eat my words with one of his best performances in months if not years. He was solid ,won every header and put in some tackles that really go the crowd going , all of them winning the ball fairly so that c*nt of a ref couldn't get in on the act .:bowdown:

Same here I was extremely worried at the start but he put in a fine performance.

As the sponsors get to present the bubbly to their chosen man I had always thought that they choose either someone that they would like to meet or someone that one of them knows. I doubt that many of the MOM awards actually go to the most deserving. After all, you casn't get a real appreciation of the game from the North Stand as it's far too low.

I agree with this post. He looked a little off the pace today although I think we can let him have one bad game compared to a few others whose bad games by far outweigh their good ones!

I thought one of our best players today was James Tunnicliffe. In the second half, nothing got past him and his distribution from the back was superb.

Other than that, the two Dick's had good games as did the wingers.

You have spoken well.

You may pass 'GO', and you may collect £200.

Adam el Abd, Mom

I thought you and your grey sideburns were supposed to watch the crowd?

I saw you prancing up and down by the dugouts, waiting for someone to shout' NMH you big knobber' well I didn't nor was I intending too:laugh:

Dicker was MoM in my opinion. Only player who looked a threat in the first half. In the second half, I thought the whole midfield did well and the defence did what they had to do. If not Dicker, I might have given it to Tunnicliffe who I thought won everything in the air and looks a really good signing. We have done pretty well from Stockport with those two and McNulty.

I do wonder sometimes whether the sponsors actually watch the match or are chatting so much that they panic when they realise they have to award MoM and go for the goalscorer.
