When Driving:
Coming down the A27 and seeing the South Downs, then coming through Southwick Tunnel and the moment you exit (West Bound) Shoreham appears as if by magic on the horizon...lovely!

By Air:
When Circling into Gatwick and looking out at the Sussex Coast and finding Shoreham Harbour & The Adur.

the view of the downs from long furlong, just past Myrtle Grove Farm.
And from Bury Hill looking down over the Arun flood plains (especially when flooded!)
Arundel Castle and environ from the train heading north after Arundel station.

Near Dorchester, Dorset
When I was stuck working in Basingstoke I used to come home each Friday and as the train got to a certain point and arked around a long bend you'd get a glimpse of the South Downs. Then I knew I was home.

Can agree with that, also enjoy some of the lesser lights the Arun runing out at Littlehampton and the Beach at Littlehampton plus watching the ferries and cargo ships slipping in and out of Shoreham and Newhaven.

Saves me from writing it.
If I ever pull my finger out, I'm going to go to that tree, in the middle of the field, a take the same photo over a period of 12 months, across that flood plain.

Then mount them together as individual small prints.
