Which home ends have you been in?

All this talk of grounds has got me wondering. I was in the home end at Hereford (screaming within), the Kop (90/91, FA Cup, screaming into my coat).

Don't know where this is going - anyone care to add anything?

Brighton 5-Crawley 0 in the FA Cup years ago at the Goldstone...I was for some unknown reason in the Away stand :glare: We (kids) got moved to the then abandoned North-East section as the standing Crawley section was very cramped!

I've been in the 'Home' end watching the Albion at Fellows Park (Walsall), The Victoria Ground (Stoke), The Hawthorns (West Brom), and St Andrews (Birmingham). My Dad has a mate who lives in Walsall so we used to go to those fixtures with him in the late 80's, and it's probably the reason why I still don't wear colours to away games to this day.

Peterborough in the cup when Mayo missed from 1 yard. Reading, biggest bunch of moaning minnies I've ever come across NB they were top of the league at the time.

Brentford in the LDV a couple of years back. Finished 2-2 I think and we lost on pens at the end I was standing in.

Small crowd, so not particularly intimidating, but still didn't want to let rip when we scored.

Tottenham back in the old second division - bloody scary, but we'd been attacked in the away end the year before!

I have also been in the away end at Withdean for that marvellous match against Mansfield.

By the sixth goal it was bloody obvious that I wasn't the only Seagull in there. :lolol:

I was in that end too as it was an all ticket for away fans as we were originally at home...or something like that. It was bloody freezing !!! It was very hard not to cheer when we scored:p :p Got out of there pretty sharpish after the penalties though so I could swear a lot :D

Also went in the home end at Orient when it was Shilton's 1000th match as we arrived late and our end was full. No cheering to be done there - can't remember the score but we lost.:(

It was 2-0 and abject, Billy. Also had the car smashed up and stereo/other stuff nicked that day (Leyton's such a lovely place) so that was a top day out. :nono:

For me: supporting Brighton, only Bristol Rovers while they were at Twerton Park. Always got in the away end otherwise, even at Barnet.

At Spurs, supporting QPR. Also Chelsea, supporting QPR(!).

Most scary of all though - five consecutive seasons at Old Trafford, watching Red Scum v Liverpool, supporting Liverpool very, very discreetly.

Always a laugh afterwards, especially given Liverpool's record there lately.

At Goodison, when we lost 4-3 in a cracking game. The scousers around me were really good-humoured.

At Molyneux, when Eric Young scored 5 mins from end. I cheered and quickly shut-up. My Wolves-supporting girlfriend and I split up three weeks later.:(

Mine was 1991 play off semi finals away at Millwall. I was terrified, excited and delighted all at once.

In fact, I was the only person honest enough to raise an eyebrow when their defender handled the ball in the penalty area.

With BHA at Brentford, Fulham, Barnet, Sherwsbury no problems at any of them.

With Spurs at Chelsea, just about got out with our lives from the old Shed and then got marched around the ground past the old benches which went down well with the locals and this was in the days when Stamford bridge nearly had an electrified fence to keep the fans in!!!

Also with Spurs at Arsenal on the north bank, kept very very discreet and in the seats once, also at QPR, Fulham and Man UTD.

With England against Romania and had to put up with loads of abuse but never really got too worried as it was mostly in Romanian apart from one bloke who kept saying eeengleesh die whilst doing a slitting of the throat sign but his accent was so strong we just pissed ourselves laughing every time he did it.

If she split up because she lost she wasn't worth it anyway :)

Nah, it wasn't that. Sheer chance.

She's still a season ticket holder with Wolves and I see her now and then, so there's no hard feelings.
