We had a successful school team (2nd XI) in the Midweek League, which I played for occasionally, full of teams of cabbies and busmen, who used to love kicking the shit out of schoolkids.

About 18 years ago I played for Preston Panthers on a Sunday morning (aged about 13). Most of my School friends played for Fishersgate Flyers however I wasn't quite good enough....

Did any other NSC ers play for these teams ? What teams did you play for as School kids ?

I played for Whitehawk and Brighton College (work that one out!). Oh and Queens Park Jaguars for a bit.

Hove and Portslade also used to have a really good Scout football league. I played for 6th Hove (St Nicholas). Used to play the 17th Hove who couldn't put out a full team so we used to beat them about 18-0 !!!

Played for ASC Strikers and Lower Bevendean Youth in my youth days, I've since moved up the hill to play for Higher Bevendean in the adult league.
