[Albion] Which evening kick off time is BEST?

I’m conflicted - I arrived just in time for the penalty, among hundreds of others streaming in because of the traffic getting in after work - even 15 minutes later would have made all the difference…but I did like going to an evening game and not getting home at a silly time.

In the good old days, I remember nearly all evening games would kick off at 7:30pm.
Then somehow 7:45pm became the norm.
And now for TV 8pm is more popular.
We were only 7:30 because TNT set different start times in the hope people switch over to the later starting games to maximise viewing figures.

I thought 7:30 was the national norm, but later for the Goldstone … it was said because it’s a commuting place.

When I worked at George the Chemist in Portslade in the early 70s, finishing at 7, I was able to rush to the station and get on a green bus (the 2?), or the 49 and get to the Goldstone in time for a 7.30 kick off.

All league games should be played at 3pm Saturday midweek games should be for league cup games, FA Cup replays

I've been going to football for over 50 years and we've always had midweek league fixtures.

Why do evening games traditionally start at 7.45pm?

Why not 7.30 or 8.00?
