The last time both team names began with a 'W'.
Or
The last team to ever play at the Boleyn Ground wearing yellow

Anyone would think the ground had been sold out from underneath them by unscrupulous, near criminal, owners.

Instead of them moving to a stadium, the whole club whored itself for long before the first foundation had even been dug.

I bet they're even making scousers jealous.

Not spoken to a single West Ham fan who wanted the move.. The club made the decision not the fans.

It certainly makes sense finically (to say the least) but to leave an atmospheric traditional ground to move into a (presumably) soulless bowl, must be heartbreaking for proper 'ammers. That's not what they won the World Cup for.

What is a soulless bowl?? This was always an accusation being thrown at The Amex by opposition fans (especially 'them'). I know for sure that it didn't feel soulless last night.

If we still had the Goldstone, would fans have preferred to stay in a crumbling money pit over a state of the art stadium?

Was going to say the same as in it has a bit of the scouse overly dramatic and meaningful weight to it when it involves "their own" A touch of the pikey funeral too

Won't anyone think of Leyton Orient? They are basically ****ed with the ticket prices WHU are likely to announce to try and fill their massive new home.

The Sydney Olympic Stadium is being totally rebuilt inside because of poor sightlines / fans too far from the action
