I see Bristol Rovers expect to be in their revamped stadium by 2009 but who else will be playing in one before we get to Falmer in 2010??

I thought Bristol Rovers had only recently moved to a new ground anyway, so how come they need to revamp it already??

Liverpool...and they started the planning process many years after The Albion, increased the size the new stadium and still managed to get permission without one NIMBY holding things up.

Pompey are planning to move to a new ground on the waterfront, however I can see them taking somewhat longer than it take us to get to Falmer, pictures of their stadium look stunning.

I'm sure i read on here that Southends plans have been blocked

The Club have received planning permission for a new 22,000 seat stadium, at Fossetts Farm, just behind the club’s training ground in Eastern Avenue. The Club hoped to have the stadium open in time for the 2008/09 season, however the scheme has suffered a couple of set backs. Firstly the stadium is now subject to a public enquiry and secondly the club have yet to receive planning permission for the residential re-development of Roots Hall, the proceeds of which are needed to finance the new ground. Although these hurdles are not insurmountable, it will mean that the £25m scheme may be delayed for sometime yet. Artists impressions of how the new stadium will look can be found on the Official Club

Been there, done that, doesn't sound good but at least they actually have a ground whilst this is going on. Though NOT having a ground is probably the main reason we got permission to build at Falmer.

Eastville was vacated years ago,and Bristol R moved in with Bath City for several years.

When the Bristol Rugby Club went bankrupt,Rovers acquired their stadium, but it needs redevelopment.

Which is about to happen.
