George Street Hove Ladbrokes is good and very well run. Tragically the previous manager died there one day at the age of 28 of a Brain Haemorrhage.

I don't use bookies, i prefer Betfair.

That weren't the question though was it!!!
I like ladbrokes they seem to attract all the mentalists. London road has its share of weird people like the chinese man who just shouts and swears at the monitors even when he hasn't got a bet on.
Oh and everyone down there thinks they have a tip for a Gary Moore horse!

Had a brain haemorraghe in the shop on a Saturday and died in hospital. She was a very pleasant slim blonde lady, very sad indeed.

Isn't it just any one where you win?

I remember my first win at a bookies vividly - it was a grotty little shop just by Hassocks station, but it seemed like a palace that day.

Star Racing at Brighton marina did a free nosebag for the punters for the Gold Cup. All very civilised. Possibly not the sort of thing they'd try in London Road Ladbrokes, for fear of being overun with the giros and pikeys

The most fascinating bookies is Corals at the dials all mob from the Dogs are in there on Saturdays Mornings (big Rodger and his cronies) apparently one mornning last summer weekday I think a load of them had a Greyhound Placer up which paid £6000 approx to a quid some punterS had it to 5 or 6 pounds and for a while they (Corals) only took bets to a maximum £20 a slip on the dogs in that shop. Danny Bloors ginger brother trys to get bets on in there as does to Snooker MC.
