I spotted a team photo, 11 of 12, and he wasn't anywhere to be seen

It is not just a training camp, but Gus said he is using it to sit them down one by one and have a chat about their performances, aspirations and plans for the future. Also, a celebration and thanks type break.

I'd imagine he is staying at home for the possibility of a move elsewhere. Plotting his plan and having a good think away from the side.

A guess would be; He doesn't see a lot of his parents except perhaps briefly at occasional away games up that way, and has probably headed up there early before season end, to see them.

Bridcutt doesn't seem to be there despite his new contract, ditto Adgestein. Are they leaving?
