Chicken and egg ?

Its often argued that countries are wealthy BECAUSE of immigration!

Therefor they should go to poor stable ones.

Take a Llook at London if we didn't have migration of immigrants how would the capital work as all the menial low paid jobs are done by immigrants as no one else will do them. Also i believe i'm correct in saying that we activily encouraged it years ago to get the staff for public transport in London, or in Mills up North etc etc.

The country would struggle with out know i reckon, wether you are in favour or not.

It was actualy enoch powell who first went to the carrabean to encourage migrant labour.

But to make an analogy. Just cos salt is good for you you dont tip a bucket of it on your chips.

There is also the question of why we are paying the unemployed and importing labour?

If they pass the "are you rich test" then they can stay, otherwise they can bog off to a nice big country set aside just for them.

Immigrants

oh i love immigrants thats why i vote labour because instead of giving to causes such as; the pennyless elderly, the crap NHS, our useless rail system and schools where class sizes go up all the time...labour give to worthwhile causes such as looking after Asylum seekers and all other immigrants

vote labour yeah:glare:

No NOT at all, pensions won't be around when I retire so I have my own, helping people less fortuante than my self is what life should be about, and I for one have no problem with my tax money helping.

i wonder why that is? at the end of the day where would you rather see money go, health care, help for the elderly, the rail system and schools OR money grabbing asylum seekers which only 1 in 10 are genuine and who dont pay any money back into the country cos they dont work

Yea true, what I want to know is why its easier for them to go through a government controlled airport than just slip across the border? or about a dozen or so borders?

Redland I agree with you entirely but it does annoy me seeing pictures of immigrants waiting to get into this country from FRANCE. They have already escaped the persucting government of their own country yet want to continue the journey to the UK. This could be because of language but I suspect it could be because they get an easier ride here.

The whole issue of immigration needs a public discussion but whenever a government brings up the subject someone shouts racism and as aresult no-one dares mention the subject.

exactly so like i said it does come down to greed because our wonderfull labour government give out the most money despite the fact our health service is one of the worst in Europe! because to get through to France they must have gone through 5 or 6 safe European countries.

By the looks of it the immigrants should go to Australia - although they'd probably get left out near Indonesia somewhere by the government if they tried a water based assault.....

The UK is seen around the world as a huge force in world peace, I believe this is why many try to get here (America being to far), they feel their governments won't be able to touch them here, and fortunatly they are right.
