Where is my mind

I don't think this one has been done

Which do we prefer The Pixies original Fight Club one or this one on the Thompsons ad?

Is this some kind of sick joke? That Thompsons one is a pile of steaming turd.

IMHO this is one of those songs that no-one should ever copy, as I don't think it's possible to do it better than the original.

Pixies. Some covers are okay but it's a Pixies song through and through

Hate the TV cover. Placebo is the closest to a decent cover. I'm pretty surprised Pixies agreed to this but I guess everything has a price

Great ending.

The thomson ad isn't the worst but it's so f***ing obvious. Slow it down and get a cute female to sing it zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

The Pixies are the dirtiest, fattest, filthiest band ever to walk these lands. And also one of the best. No comparison.

That said, it's not a bad version. At least you can hear the lyrics in that one, as opposed to Franks frantic mumbling.

This song sums up the Pixies for me:

Hear my bollocks roar.

Funnily enough i remember seeing the Pixies at Crystal Palace bowl and in this song (Where is my mind) there is the lyric - Way out in the water, see it swimming - at which point several people dived in the lake which separated the band form the audience. Only one made it across - and then made it on stage and tried to give Francis a big hug. Francis was not keen due to the electrical equipment he was holding - but did applaud the swimming effort.

I was at that gig - but don't remember that incident!

Pixies were GENIUS. these cute cover versions are like driving an electric people carrier when a screaming Lambo is on offer. Bland.

There's a cover on the "Sucker Punch" soundtrack by Emily Browning and Yoav. Superb.
Not sure if that's the same version posted here as can't get YT at work.

I was there too, in an advanced state of, ahem, euphoria. The best thing ever to happen at crystal palace!
