When RDZ goes he’s very likely to take most of his back room staff with him as they’ve been together in quite a few jobs.

By get used to it I mean clubs wanting our players and staff, the better we do the more they’ll be wanted. It will continue to prove Tony’s way of doing things is the right way for our club and meeting his aim for the club to be self sustainable.
And why should we get used it...?

Chelsea wouldn't harrass Liverpool like this for Mo Salah.

They wouldn't harrass Man United like this for Marcus Rashford.

They wouldn't harrass Man City like this for Halland.

They wouldn't harrass Tottenham like this for Harry Kane.

So why should we accept this continual upsetting, and uunsettling of OUR players..? Your attitude will change nothing in football. Thankfully, there are others who wish to make their feelings known about the disgusting attitude of the Chelsea hierarchy....and their supporters.

Thank god we had people like Lord Bracknell and many others, around a few years ago.

The clubs like Chelsea need to learn that our club will sell players when OUR club deems it acceptable....not a defeatist attitude of " oh well, it is what it is ".

We are showing right now (and did in January) that we will only sell players when it’s deemed right by our club. Cucurella going and Potter and co going was because TB decided the offer was right for our club. Acknowledging that and realising it’s going to happen again and again is not a defeatist attitude it’s trusting that Bloom has the best interests of the club at heart.

There is very little harassing going on by Chelsea, they are following the process, submitting a bid and it being rejected. It’s in their best interests to get the best possible deal for their club in the same way we were looking to go in with a lower bid for Colwill. It’s exactly how football works. When we signed Cucurella in the first place we went in with lower offers before we agreed to meet his buy out clause. We knew what the clause was but we still tried to get him for less, it’s no different to what Chelsea are doing now really.

The harassing if you want to call it that is coming on social media from people who’ve never set foot in Stamford Bridge and wanna be ITKs who have been proven time and time again to know nothing and are just looking for clicks and likes. I can guarantee the club and players pay very little attention to that noise. It doesn’t even register.

What we need to get used to is our success is going to mean clubs want our players and some of them will move on when TB and co decide it’s the right time. It won’t be because some keyboard warrior living thousand of miles away keeps posting Free Caicedo on every social media post the club makes.

That’s a little unfair. Chelsea aren’t hassling us. They are negotiating the purchase of a player we have suggested is for sale. It bears no resemblance to the Ben White situation where your points might apply. Ignore the noise from emotionally incontinent morons on social media and you have two negotiating teams trying to reach a mutually acceptable conclusion.

Some people want to believe that Chelsea aren't talking to our players agents ( Caicedo in particular).

Some people want to believe that Chelsea haven't offered Caicedo significantly more in salary.

To those people...crack on in your ignorance. You're simply not worth a personal reply.

I'm sorry...where exactly did our club tell people we wanted to sell Caicedo BEFORE Chelsea started their underhand tactics...?

I dont get the hate on here for Chelsea when it comes to player transfers. They buy ours for billions, we buy theirs for pennies.

They said no about selling Colwill, we are saying no about selling Caicedo on the cheap. All very amicable to me.

They were very useful to us in buying Cucu for stupid money when his dream city move left him sulking by his pram.

Sure they ransacked us for non playing people but Potter left only after we agreed to it. And it was sad but hardly outrageous that the assistant coaches went there too. Likewise Winstanley going there is par for the course in the business world.

All in all they pretty much funded our push to Europe. Should we sell Caicedo next then that will be them funding our push for the title...
They are trying their best to unsettle our player, they know what they need to do to get TB into the room for a discussion.

And ? Do you think we bid for MacAllister without any contact when we spent 6 months flying back and fourth without contact with him or his family?

Do you believe the Pedro deal got done in a few days with us just throwing a £30M bid in without having any idea if the player would come, what his demands were etc

Who are these ‘some people ?’ Everyone suspects those things are happening. It doesn’t affect the negotiating process at all though.

Personally think we're open to selling as unusual for Naylor to give a valuation, I believe he's been briefed by the club. It's certainly a different line to saying a player isn't for sale which has often been the case.

We are open to selling any player at any time but only when the valuation is met and it’s right for the club. The situation is a bit more nuanced for the coaching staff as was evidenced by Potter f***ing off after 5 games (which was not received well by the club but they still acted professionally). Caicedo might still leave Brighton but a five year contract, signed in January, means that it’ll be on our terms or not at all even if toys are launched into the stratosphere.

Which news outlet? I can’t see on their only paper the Echo.
the times reported that to be the case but the article it linked to was fairly misleading and was just a rehash of the his team want to try to convince Brighton to lower the price no confirmation at all of any transfer request

We were lucky it worked out considering the impact they had on destabilising us significantly and very quickly.

On paper we should have been in a relegation battle, noting we were a team that despite the possession and style couldnt score and win games until recently

I won’t be giving Chelsea a concession because it didn’t work out, f*** em and their entitled **** fanbase

Any idea what’s happened to Naylor? Shirely he would be all over this?

Could be on holiday but then had heard about some restructuring rumours at the Athletic and note he want on the US Tour?
