Will be interesting to see if Moises plays tomorrow...im pretty sure he will but it would be quite telling if he didn't. The Chavs will be telling us he's downed tools.

All of which will make no difference to TB, we saw that with Cuckoo, and Caicedo in January.
He won’t throw away £20m just because Winstanley/Caicedo’s agents have hatched the next stage in Operation Burberry Cap.
With Cuckoo ironically it led to fee inflation.

Heard barber talking tonight. He basically said who is he to stand in the way of a players career progression? He’s moved roles to further his own career.
I think he gets it. As I said in a diff thread are we paying Moises the wage of a £100m player? The answer is no and Brighton won’t force him to stay.

How do you know this? You don’t.
We turned down £75m in January and he signed a 4+1 year contract in March. I’m sure he wouldn’t have done that unless he felt he was being paid appropriately for his transfer value.

Caicedo is right at the top of our pay charts. That’s a problem for Chelsea.

I dont know why you are going with with his current salary means he isn't worth £100m. He is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for him regardless of if he is paid £200k a week, £200k a day or £200k a year.

I’m not. On the contrary I’m saying that if we aren’t willing to sell him for a penny less than £100m he has every right feel he should be paid a wage that reflects that valuation. Brighton won’t pay those wages. Chelsea will.

This is it really. The crux. Everyone, EVERYONE knows how well run we are. This idea we are arrogant, amateurs, holding players hostage, small fry, whatever else nonsense. No, we are a very well run club and this is how we roll.
Every Chelsea fan is saying Moises is desperate for the move and they are baffled why he hasn’t handed in a transfer request.
Meanwhile, the latest is that Moises is “calm” about this situation, he’s just signed a new long term contract with the club, and shows no other signs of unhappiness.

Sounds like Romeo Lavia may be someone Chelsea would like to consider as a Caicedo-lite, but Liverpool look close to sealing that particular deal.
Assuming Liverpool do get that one over the line, Chelsea's options narrow further and Poch will be moaning to the media about his lack of midfield once again.

Is Caicedo really the only DM option for Chelsea then ? Is there nobody else IN THE WORLD who they could turn to as another option, more within the spectrum of what they want to spend ? Nobody else on their list ? Or maybe its just a bit embarrassing for a "big club" like Chelsea to go and take a punt on someone nobody has ever heard of, like we have to.
They seem to have all their eggs in a Caicedo-sized basket for some reason. I thought they poached our backroom scouting team to, ya know, find some players. Yet still they only seem to be shopping in Harrods, instead of finding some quality bargains in the middle aisle of Lidl.
Not sure this kind of ongoing transfer saga was what Winstanly was brought in for there. But then everyone who has gone from BHA to CFC has died on their arse, within that shambolic toxic club. I hope this is pointed out to Moises.
