Oh good. Tell them that Arsenal have bid £80m plus Colwill.
Based on their recent transfer policy they might fall for it...!Oh good. Tell them that Arsenal have bid £80m plus Colwill.
Of course, yes.If one club offered £80m and we thought that was acceptable, but the other offered £90m, surely we'd say no to the £80m rather than offering Caicedo the choice?
That’s a joke right? If Chelsea signed him and we didn’t get Colwill, would nsc’ers have the same hate for Chelsea exhibited August 22 to date?
“Yeah Todd, mate, that Edu’s been on the phone, yeah £160m, I know, but that’s what he said, see you in the morning for the medical."EXCL: Understand Chelsea have informed Brighton they will match any bid from Arsenal for Moises Caicedo. Chelsea feel that Brighton want a bidding war, as they have not set a firm price. Chelsea do not want a bidding war, so have simply said they'll match what Arsenal offer."
I'm sure this has been covered already, but....
what a load of bollox
1) We don't set firm prices for any of our players
2) If Chelsea will match, but not beat any price from Arsenal - fine, we'll sell to Arsenal - what exactly is the advantage of selling to Chelsea if they won't beat the price?
3) Let's just pretend it's true (it's not) for fun: Arsenal have a chat with us, and agree to offer £200m on the basis that we immediately accept the £200m bid from Chelsea. What do they do then? Oh, er, no, we want to withdraw it now.
Why give these clickbait tweets your clicks?
That’s a joke right?
Only if we end up with Colwill, I’ll settle for thatTalk of Chelsea is very laid back lately on nsc in Caicedo chats, I can’t see any spitting hate.
Whilst last August they were absolutely loathed in this parish, “scummy club” “scummy, racist fans” “always hated them”. Anger that Boehly was on a spending spree that included Cucu.
Perhaps I’m wrong, but I detect a chilled air about Caicedo signing for them.
So basically rubbish made up on the internet. So basically a bidding war
I'd struggle to understand Moises choosing to leave us for Chelsea. Surely it'd be better for him to:
a) go to a team like Arsenal who have CL football
or b) if no CL or EL team are in for him, stick with us until January. That way he'll have tasted 6 European games and if Chelsea have rebuilt well under Poch, I'm sure they'd be back in for him. Arsenal came hunting for him in January when they were top of the league, so I doubt it'd stop Chelsea even if they are much improved.
All he does going to Chelsea now is risk getting stuck there if it all goes pear shaped with Poch, which it plausibly could do.
If your only choice was Chelsea this summer, and you’re as young and good as Moises is then surely you’d do another season with us in Europe rather than joining them on a non European season & then revisit things next summer.I know Chelsea are obviously a bigger far more successful club than us, but I feel going from a club in Europe to a club not in Europe would be a mental decision, especially considering how messed up Chelsea is... how/why on earth are they looking for MORE players anyway?! That club really is the scummiest of the lot
Any of the other big clubs, fair enough. Chelsea again though ffs
Why would both bids ever match? Arsenal don't have Colwill to throw into the equation.Weird comment re: Chelsea.
Why would we choose them over Arsenal, if both bids matched?
