Surely it’s Europa League bound Liverpool? Well that what his Dad has been saying for months and I guess he has an idea

I think either Liverpool or City, both are going into next season with an Alexis shaped hole in their midfield (I think Philips has been deemed surplus to requirements at City).

Liverpool have the bigger need though, so can see them pushing through a deal quicker.

No matter who it is, good luck to the lad. He’s leaving the proper way.

I went for nowhere.

The only club who may think they need him and could afford him is Liverpool. But I really don't think he is fast enough or clever enough for them. They still play Heavy Metal football whereas we are more Witch House, with hypnotic slow possession then violent mesmeric pouncing.

Not good enough for City.

Newcastle perhaps. But they can afford anyone now.

Very likely Liverpool. They need a major overhaul of their midfield. People will say they are in the Europa League next year, same as us. However I think Alexis will be looking at subsequent seasons.
Indeed. According to Fabrizio Romano at least, personal terms have already been pretty much agreed between both parties.

That is if we care to believe what he says of course.

I have a feeling Manchester City are going to come in with a late bid and get Alexis.
Alexis would suit Pep's systems, as he offers flexbility and comfortability on the ball.
Plus City may need to replace Ikay Gündoğan at some point soon.

I think it's a done deal, to Liverpool. Suspect a lot of it was sorted weeks ago.
Just like Potter to Chelsea……TB knew what he was doing didn’t he?

Have a word with yourself, Harry. Alexis is every bit fast enough, and clever enough, to comfortably be Liverpool’s best midfielder - so long as he is played in his best position, sitting at the base of the midfield.

hes Also clearly good enough to be a useful player for City, too - but he’d have to accept a rotational role there - at Liverpool he’d be absolutely key.

He’ll be disappointed with the tears yesterday if he ends up staying

Not sure you are right about the Liverpool point…..they’ve had numerous players in the middle of the park this season like say Thiago…Henderson….wouldn’t call them fast
