I met my last girlfriend that lead to a relationship at the Robin Hood pub on a mate's birthday. I almost didn't bother going out that night. I pray to God every night that I hadn't bothered. She was a f***ing arsehole.

I have no doubt. I am certainly not down about it. Just thought I'd add my bit of crap to an otherwise fairly vomit inducing thread Haha!!

After two marriages I was in a bit of a mess.

She was working as a Supervisor in the Department I was the Manager of. We got together at a works do and following an 'Excellent' appraisal rating, we have been together ever since (nearly 20 years) and married for 17.

I too am very lucky.

Brighton factually.....
Met the to be wife at the Caernarvon Castle pub Camden Town (now burnt down) where she was on the door taking the entrance money for a punk gig. Got chatting within six months we got married and now have a two year old sprog and been married for 10 years. We had met earlier, but I dont recall it she says she talked to me for about an hour at Gaz's Rockin Blues club St Moritz in Soho about six months before, and the last she saw of me that night was my mate pushing me down the stairs of a strip club.

On a street corner. She only cost a score too and we've been together ever since.

My current wife used to be my secretary.
When the MD found out we were seeing each other outside of work ... he sacked her.

He claimed there was a company 'rule' that forbids inter-staff relationships at senior level.
I'd never heard of the rule, and nor had anybody else, but he sacked her anyway.

I had to marry her after that ... imagine the guilt!
No regrets though, she's a diamond.

She told me later the MD had asked her out on three separate occasions before the news broke about our relationship and she had turned him down each time.
We can't be sure the events are linked, but two and two can make four sometimes.

The guy was married with 2 young kids ... maggot.

Needless to say I no longer work for the company!

In the Marquess of. Exeter in Brighton, I was still married but had seperated, was still very young and living the life of a bachelor in some order!!! At the time the Marquess was my local and one Friday night I saw my now wife and thought WOW!! she was from the East End and went back to London after us going out for 3 days, she rang me a week or so later and on the spur of the moment I said km coming up to london to live, I had nowhere to go but I sold everything and went up there 35 years on the rest is history!! Oh and 3 kids and 5 grandkids and literally just found out our daughter is now pregnant so another grandchild on the way!! :)

The Marquess of Exeter holds many fond and excellent memory's for me!!! :)

Met the wife working for ESCC at County Hall.

She was with someone else but we went out for a few lunchtime drinks and hit it off. She then phoned me one morning saying she'd left the fella and could she come round for the day.

She never left! We got married 18 months later - now have a beautiful 4 year old girl.

Sweet eh?
