We actually got introduced by my ex-partner at an International Sales Conference but I was engaged at the time to someone else and she was coming out of a messy divorce and nothing registered. Six months later, I came to Izmir to run some user seminars and she (being sales manager of the region) was organising everything. She set up a hatstand to look like a traffic policeman as a prop for my seminar. After the seminar I asked her if the 'policeman' was taking her home and she said no one was taking her home. I took her to a nightclub instead... the rest is legend!

In a pub in Oldham - was out with a guy I was seeing at the time (who I have to say was a bit of a knob) - got chatting to the dj - about Brighton - he asked for my number through another friend who was there at the time - he started texting me - drove down to see me the following weekend and stayed two weeks!!!

He moved in two weeks after that - I vowed I'd never get married again - but I have and we had a little girl who is 10 years younger than my son - weird how life goes!!!!

In student halls in Liverpool, in 1989, when I was a boy of 18. I got accepted late to Liverpool Poly, by which time all of their accomodation was full - so I ended up in a spare place at Liverpool Hope Uni's halls.

Off Topic, I know but did you used to go to away games up north whilst studying in Liverpool. Just asking as I lived in Wigan around that time and recall meeting a Brighton fan who was studying in Liverpool who I would meet at away games and catch the same train sometimes back in the opposite direction to the Brighton fans heading south. Once we got on the train full of Stoke fans heading north after a 1-1, and the old Bill had to get us off for our saftey. Was that you young man ?
