Pele, Rivelinho, Jarzinho, Tostao, Carlos Alberto, Peter Osgood, George Best, Bobby Charlton, Steve Heighway.......then I was taken to see the Albion......Kit Napier, John Templeman, Willie Irvine.
(As a kid Leeds were a great team....but we still hated them!)
However I had a real thing about underrated goalkeepers and the two that stick out were Alan Rough and Frederik Koncilia. There was also Hans Croy .
If you ever get a chance, see the 1971 (I think) Scottish Cup Final when a young Alan Rough pretty much stopped Celtic on his own.... a much-maligned super keeper!
Any Brazilian player from the 1970's world cup squad, especailly Carlos Alberto as we share the same first name. You can add Eusabio to the list as well.
All time hero is Bobby Charlton, brilliant player and a first class gent, shows you just how far modern day footballers have fallen.
BTW shit at football so played Rugby and in Rugby terms has to be our Lord Gareth Edwards
