Day before I went on holiday, I had me blood test done.....as I am taking blood pressure pills, my potassium levels are down so I have to now take some dissolvable poison to get my potassium levels up and also eat oodles of bananas.

Just be thankful you lot are young and fit.

getting old is not much cop

I have potassium problems as well, hypokalaemia. Mine went screwy when my thyroid messed up after my oldest daughter was born, never been right since.

Beans, peas and green leafy veggies are good for potassium as well. And add tomato to salads/sandwiches that gives something like 300mg potassium each time. I drink a lot of V8 juice which my doctor says helps, not sure it really does but figured it can't hurt.

I find the really rubbish thing is that you wear glasses for short-sightedness from an early age, then approximately one day after your 40th birthday you have to start peering over the TOP of the damn things to read the paper. What's that all about? ???

The sooner really your generation are gone, the better because we are the ones who have to wallow in the FILTH you created in producing an UNSUSTAINABLE way of living with your so called 'bright' ways of producing energy and powerful economies.

It is US, yes US who have to try and fix an impossible task and reverse the side effects for our next generation.:shootself

:dunce: If you are not happy with the way your energy is produced, why do you not just swtich off your computer and 'try' to read a book or go for a long walk.

A classic example of post-Thatcher self-centredness.

Listen, sunshine. There IS such a thing as society. It's a complicated arrangement and always has been. Chopping the world up into 'generations' is simply focusing on the irrelevant.

You might just as sensibly blame cyclists for all the world's wrongs.

But I'm sure the smoking isn't good for me.

That's just a myth. It is a well known (but little publicised) medical fact that smoking DOES make you look big and clever. And hard.

Think about it ...Clint Eastwood would have looked v. gay in those westerns if a grizzled gringo had offered him a charoot and he'd said, "err, thanks, but no. I'm trying to give them up. Does this saloon have a no-smoking area? I'm sick of going home with a poncho that stinks like an old ashtray..."
