I said I'm not going to bother because it changes nothing.
That's my opinion.
Fair enough. Just seems a little strange to me.

99.9% of the stuff on NSC has no effect on the club, I'm not even convinced the 0.1 bit does either, what exactly are you saying apart from 'it differs from my opinion I don't want to hear it'?

I answered vulture's post.

I believe that there are changes needed at all levels if we are to progress and not become a laughing stock;

1. Changes in the board room to bring in more cash.
2. Changes in the coaching/backroom staff
3. Changes in the players.

1. The rumour about Ray Bloom wanting more shares and investing money in the club I heard some three weeks ago but I am not sure whether that is good or not as I am not sure that I trust him, his father was adiamond but him!!!
2. MM best days have been when he has had Archie Knox at his side so either get shot of Bob Booker and Dean White and keep

Whould Dick Knight let Ray Bloom invest more money in the club when he was part of the archer/stanley era

Is this the same Ray Bloom involved with the betting shananingans?

Give me some odds and timescale

Well the race is June 6 - I would have thought that would cover your comment about "got to be soon" re. McGhee's sacking.

But as an added incentive, I will refund you the money you pay to BAG if McGhee is gone by the start of next season, just in case you think June 6 is a bit tight for Dick Knight's sacking timetable.

The bet is evens of course, the stake whatever you can afford to lose

Sorry pushed the button before I had finished.

I am working and it is difficult to get on line in some of the pubs but I will be back.

2 either get rid of Bob Booker and Dean white and allow MM to bring in hios own staff or get shot of all of them and bring in somebody fresh. Judging by todays performance questions must be asked about John Keeley and his goalkeeping coaching ability.

3. Most of ther players are not good enough for this division but 4 or 5 may be for Div 1.

How about Graham Souness as manager as this appears to be about his level and he is wealthy himself and has many wealthy connections who may be interested in buying the club.

I used to think that but not any more. Messageboards have a growing influence. The example of how it played a part in unsettling Big Mac is a case in point.

There is in an interesting case developing in rugby at the moment, where Carlos Spencer's wife is claiming that negative criticism on a Northampton Saint's messageboard is depressing her husband, the star former New Zealand All Black fly-half, and affecting his form.

I think what supporters say does have an effect, and the messageboards give an added democratic power to supporters to convey that opinion, a power which they didn't have in the past. Like all democracy, though, it can be used fruitfully or abused.

But wasn't our chairman also the chairman of the betting website or is this about something else.

Is this Bloom you are talking about a youngish chap. I shared a table with him at an albion function once and can't say I was impressed with the guy. I bet he'll be mortified when he finds out.

Sure, just a bit of fun as Keith Barrett might say, and a bit of money for BAG.

I would think that he would be more than adequate at this level to get us back into the Championship as a manager but I was thinking more of his financial contacts to buy the club as they would probably insist on him being manager as part of the deal.

What would want to make Souness come to Brighton

Presumably has a big house from his Southampton days and we are so shit at the moment he could restore some credability in his CV if he could make us reasonably successful. A bit of a challenge.

I suspect that MM will still be in charge at the start of next season, how long he lasts will depend on results. We can compete with most clubs in League 1 for revenue, therefore we should be, and have been in the past, a competitive side at that level. If we struggle over the first 8-10 games, MM will probably get sacked. On the other hand, if we are in or around the play off places, MM will all of a sudden become a hero all over again and stay to lead us to another promotion!
