Fine fine margins great performance by the lads. It’s only game 3 lost against two top sides and when asked thrashed a team at our level so to speak. GP has got the team playing some great football.

Worthing
frustrated and disappointed, for about 10 minutes after the game, but this is all. If anything i’m now disappointed that the last few minutes have overshadowed an excellent overall performance and a thoroughly enjoyable game. I don’t really get cross. Last time i was disappointed was that awful cardiff 2-0 defeat which cost hughton his job. I was also a bit sad when he was sacked.

10 minutes after the game !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought i could trust you.

I’m thinking of the best way of killing someone at the moment.....can’t really kill a ref though can. It’s unsportsmanlike

Just woken up and still feeling emotional.

I think that I am more proud of the team and excited for the season now though.

It is always hard playing against the top teams and sometimes games like these happen.

I would rather focus in the exciting things going on at Brighton rather than go all WACCOE about it.

I don’t know why but this was the worst for me and I was at near enough all the games mentioned on this thread.

Maybe it’s not being part of a crowd to witness it? Feels like your enduring it on your own when in a smaller group than normal when watching on TV. In the ground you feel like you’ve experienced it together as a collective, so the anger and sadness slowly subsides as you realise thousands of other share the same facial expressions and cries of anger. Often you know it’s not just you and there’s someone taking it worse than you, which shouldn’t be a comfort but it is.

Not to mention the general injustice of the game today amplifying it all x10.

Boro but before that Bournemouth at home in the last season at Withdean. Battered them. Finally Lua Lua with a great free kick. Then plucky get a penalty for handball in injury time. Only that it was outside the area and their player hand balled it!

Remember that joke decision well. Elphick was our player jumping for it I believe. But at least that didn’t matter. I just hope the 3 points we were robbed of today by luck / horrendous big club bias officiating done count for anything come the end of the season. We have every right to be hugely pissed off.

At least Palace lost :)

I have this feeling as well. I literally let look forward to watching us now whereas before I was always nervous. It’s enjoyable. Best squad we’ve had in our history I think - and we battered Man U today which is very hard to take in given where we were in the 90s.

I realise this is a nauseating take but I find it hard to get annoyed about losing a point against a side worth so much more than ours when we played brilliantly.

There were loads of times in the lower divisions when we travelled hundreds of miles and got robbed of precious results by appalling offside and penalty decisions. At least this time it's all over telly and people can see it - back in the Stone Age, you could have a pointless pop at the referee in the ground and then maybe see a sketchy replay on local news on the Monday

After the tough Everton game there is a very winable five game streak, anything even close to the football today and that should be at least 9 points, hopefully more. It was rough today but it will soon turn better.

Passed after 10 mins of the finish. Nothing to do with the ref, extra time or var. The simple fact is we didn’t defend for the 2 mins we needed to and suffered the consequences. Played very well and threw it away the end.

When you think about it its mad to think that our game, how well we played, the insane finish and amount of great chances we created (and mostly missed!), will have been talked about all around the world and discussed in newspapers and news sites the world over too. Pretty amazing since even in the first few years in the prem we will have rarely been considered by the world's press considering our brand of football and everyone expecting us not to last more than a year or two before heading back down.

Heady days to be pissed off about not getting a result against united in unreal circumstances (and because we keep bloody switching off after scoring) after battering them for about 75/80 mins of the game.

Thinking about this is what got me out of my slump relatively quickly yesterday

We played really well there's no denying that but I'm still concerned that everytime they hit us on the break they looked like scoring. They even had two disallowed goals. Even though we deserved the win I feel that if we got ahead at any time they would just bombard us until they equalise.

I'm therefore finding it too hard to get annoyed. 1 point lost.

Excepting that Middlesborough game, for me it was Luton away in 2004, when Trevor Parkes waved away Luton's penalty appeals, carried on playing and then about 30 secs later changed his mind and blew the whistle and pointed to the spot. Blatantly cheated, I've never been so incensed at a game.

I often mention attempting to ween my bosses 9 year old son off Liverpool, onto the good path of righteous justice.

Apparently he ran into the garden singing "Solly Solly March".

So I still have work to do, as we were screaming "we've left them too much time".

But there's still hope as my boss just text to say his boy is still fuming.

Bless him.

I'm not cross anymore.

We are the team which conceded a goal after the full time whistle. Another claim to fame.

Football luck has borrowed a point off us, perhaps it'll pay us back soon.

I am usually pretty philosophical but I am still feeling pretty emotional about yesterday. I think the last time I felt like this was Boro. Strangely the most angry I can ever remember being was driving away after losing 2-1 at Cheltenham.

I was furious after the game, it subsided within half an hour.

I console myself with the fact we were robbed, And that Manure have some high quality, very very expensive players, most of whom are under achieving, or like Maguire massively over rated.

We are a better club, a better team and have a better coach.

I'm not a fan of VAR in its current form or the quality of officials, which is more of a concern, but I don't think they had a huge sway on yesterdays game. We should have scored at least 5, and not have conceded 2 soft ones.
