Used to be 6 months from date on cheque.I am not sure how long an uncashed cheque lasts .
You think the postal service is that quick!!!Just posted one yesterday to Prince Davis of Mwanga in Nigeria.
Once it's cleared, he can release some funds owing and return one to me ten fold.
Happy days, drinks are on me at Wolves
Legally it’s 6 years, but banks usually reject any that are over 6 months old (back in the day every one used to be checked for a number of things like date, signature, words and figures being the same, but unless it’s particularly high value they don’t get looked at these days).Used to be 6 months from date on cheque.
Last one to ADUR Council last year for Council Tax. It didn't go through and delayed the payment for about a year.Mine was about 4 years ago to a society a little behind the times . The last time that I received one was a win on the premium bonds about 6 years ago . Are premium bonds still using cheques ?
Thank you, that’s appreciated.Only cheques I’ve issued in recent years have been to @Mr Putdown for a day’s fishing. Well worth it though !
