We are not able to offer contracts that are too hard to turn down, so will have to see what is left just before the window closes. That has always been the case, no?

That 'twat' deserves a bit more respect whether you agree with his (and the boards) decision to remove Wilkins as manager or not.

He is getting the amount he deserves nothing!!

He is getting the amount he deserves nothing!!

I think you will find that many people give him the respect he deserves. It IS a thankless job, being a football chairman, and you seem to epitomise the fan that will never be satisfied with what the man achieves.

I am not saying that Dick should have a carte blanche to do whatever he feels and he (maybe the board?) have made mistakes, but he DESERVES our respect for the amount of hours and pennies he has put into the club. I don't think he ever felt tnat much of his retirement would be spent worrying about a tinpot League One team. You MUST move on from the Wilkins saga. I was bitterly disappointed by his removal (he was one of my Albion heroes), but we should trust the board. There seems to have been a failure in trust. Would you employ someone that you could not trust?

Please don't see this as a personal attack. I know I have left some untoward comments in the past, but you piss me off. :D

He deserves a damned sight more respect than you, when did you put in a large proportion of your money just to keep the club alive?

I was surprised as anyone when Adams replaced Wilkins. I was in the unusual situation as a supporter where I was happy with Wilkins and even happier when Adams came back.

Fisrt time round Adams practically filled the team with ex Brentford and Fulham players and a couple of lads from Bristol Rovers who no one had ever heard of. He got lucky, they gelled as a team and the rest is history.

This time round he's got loan signings from Leicester, Coventry etc etc i.e. Championship players, but hasn't been so lucky. On their day Anyinsah, Johnson, Thornton could all show some talent. Sadly they weren't consistent and alot of the time this season, its been like watching a bunch of players who have met for the first time.

I hope we don't get left with the dregs at the end of the window, but lets face it, other than the JPT there is nothing else to play for except mid table and I think we are just about good enough for that.

Knight is never going to retire until at least Falmer is up and running and I very much doubt anyone else other than the Blooms will give us any money until we do move to Falmer.

At the moment, I still trust Adams to get one or two in to steady the ship. Keep the faith..

Lets us hope we don't go down the loan route. Every player we have had has now gone back and does not look as if they are going to sign. Look at Charlton a bucket full of loan players all gone back and bottom of the championship by miles. Loan players do not have the commitment to the club. Can anyone tell me what Barry Lloyd is doing, I thought he was supposed to be a scout looking for players. If he is getting paid it is another old pals act. It might be three weeks until the loan window closes, but take out weekends we are down to two. Just be thankful that we have had two games called off as we could be even worse position with the lack of new players and having to field a side out of the current squad. God forbid if we suffer any injuries to the few good players that are left.

I am certainly worried, because most of the teams around us are picking up players here and there. And we seem non-existent, it is a worrying situation. Espically yesterday when we only 15 available players to choose from!

A worrying situation indeed Mr F, but what can we do - except hope?

I have no inside knowlege but believe that we'll sign Chris Birchall after he has played for the reserves on Tuesday night, assuming the game goes ahead. So probably Wednesday.
