Hove...
Sorry about this rant style thread about something that is annoying us all but I need a bit of a release and now is the time (as i'm sure we all do)..

I am getting increasingly pissed off with the fact that its the 10th of Jan and we haven't even got anything positive to say about this transfer window..

I'm sick of rushing home from work and checking the net in anticipation that there may be something, just something, that says we are serious about signing someone, and finding the same standard speculation bull that reverts to nothing...

Its just like waiting for you e-bay delivery to arrive and its been 2 weeks since you won the bid !!! You get home hoping to see a nice parcel but nothing..

I'm going outta my head here and its driving me absolutely insane...

Getting pissed off with Naylor who is finding small scraps of info then turning into some cock teasing story !!! (Guess thats jouranlism for you)..

I'm with MA and DK but please just sort something the f*ck out soon or else we will be stuck with half a squad for the rest of the season to haul us comfortably away from the drop zone...

If any one else wants to rant on this thread then be my guest...

Also likewise, if anyone has anything positive to say to help make me feel better, then please carry on...

Grrrrr:shootself:shootself

Doubt we will sign Johnson. He came on today in the second half and did well according to Leeds fans.

I doubt we will sign anyone of merit. From what I understand Mr Bloom is not happy with MA after stumping up for Robbie Savage wages, without I believe a league win in the games that he played (cannot really count the Leicester game when he was subbed at half time).

Dick Knight as we know has no money & gone to ground.

I think that we are going to really struggle from here in.

What is also disappointing, is that we haven't got a squad for next season either. At least Wilkins was building a youth team.

I think Knight should grovel, knock on Wilkins door & offer him the job back.

Can't see it, but Mickey is not for the Albion, unless he is given a substantial windfall

Does it really matter that much, we are not going to gain promotion, and we will not get relegated this season, so is a week or 2 longer wait really going to make that much difference?

I hope the club are not as complacent as you because if they are we are in BIG trouble, we are one point outside the relegation zone with a squad containing one left back (Mayo), one central midfielder (Fraser) and only two strikers who can possibly be here past the end of the month. If we don't add some players there is EVERY chance of us getting relegated.

I think you might find Wilkins would only come back if Dick was going out the door never to return

It is a f***ing shambles.

If we'd lost against Swindon this board would be going MENTAL. As it is, nobody seems to care.

I think that may change though have you seen our league fixtures - Leeds Leicester and Peterborough all coming up in the next few weeks

The Swindon result gave Adams a stay of execution. 2-3 more poor results and I suspect he'll be gone although where that will leave us I know not. One thing that I am certain of is that we need to sign some half decent players in the transfer window. Failing that, we're doomed.

Adams will get it right in the long term I'm sure of that. It was wrong to get rid of Wilkins but what is done is done. No point sacking Adams, we need stability to build for the team at Falmer. Dick Knight is a lame duck. Completely out of touch with footballers demands and penniless. Sadly although I love the guy for what he did he is just a front for the cash of the Blooms and he is not doing a very good job anymore. Things will be okay in the long run, but short term, this season, its more of the same. Credit crunch certainly won't have helped, but also Knights attitude to agents is causing problems. WHy would agents chose Brighton to send players to when they can have an easier time elsewhere? Agents aren't going to go out of football just because one chairman stands against them. He has to play the game and accept that players and agents demands are higher than he considers should be paid. The money the club has lost in lost revenue from losing the impetus (sic) gained from Adams return could have paid for a couple of decent players. Investment in the squad is desperately needed particularly in midfield and it needs to happen before next Saturday if we are to have a chance.
