When is a Newbie not a Newbie?

In my first year on NSC (although an Albion supporter for many, many more) and a thought comes to mind. For how long must I remain a Newbie and what do I have to do to earn my stripes or whatever it is I have to earn to become fully fledged chatter.

I offer in support of my case over 100 postings - and although I say it myself - I find them for the most part well-crafted, thought provoking, and at times witty. I have tried to use moderate language and not slag off fellow chatters, or Mayo, Loft, El Ab, Frazer, White and Booker - although I have made exceptions for Adams. The most contentious I accidentally posted on ATC - and so I have learned to be cautious since then.

Can anyone out there tell me - have I arrived? Do I belong yet?

When you can spell the names of the players correctly, then you'll be accepted.

Posts shouldn’t come into it surely? It’s better to have a tally of 130 well thought out posts than 980+ crap posts….oh

Some users have managed to accumulate thousands of posts in a matter of weeks but most would still class them as newbies?

Not until you have been accused of wearing a bobble hat or a replica top and been asked out on a date by Danny no :)

So... because we post on an internet forum we don't have a life? I think you're a bit of a spelling caveman as well come to mention it.

Anyone who still says Foster instead of Forster is not allowed.

Anyone who says or pronounces it OwuSO is not allowed.

This is the reason the Post Count was scrapped a while back - everyone is entitled to comment whether it's your first or your 20,001st. And every comment is just as valid.

I must admit, I was pretty dissappointed to see the post counts reappear, as the give a sort of fake-virtual heirarchy.

,and i agree my spelling is pretty awfull...

I would'nt worry about bad spelling it's just something people throw at you when you've got the better of them during a debate, Somehow your opinion becomes invalid because you've spelt a word wrong.

You have to have a join date of 2003. Anything else is Johnny Come Lately, I'm afraid.

You obviously haven't read all of his original post. And it looks to me as if he's referring to someone like you, by the way the apostrophe in wouldn't comes later, tut-tut :yahoo:
