Don't the PL have to agree to it first? Seems very unfair to let fans in some grounds and not others.

In the midst of a global pandemic that has killed millions the Government has allowed clubs in tier 2 areas to admit 2000 fans. ‘Fairness’ is about as irrelevant as irrelevant gets. Life’s not fair. It is what it is which is the first step back to full stadiums. I find the idea that the PL wouldn’t agree to it a bit laughable. The Government would say, ‘great, thank you for continuing your sacrifice and we can now think about opening something else up instead.’

Surely we'll hear the results shortly after it takes place. As the club hasn't announced yet when it will take place we don't know when that will be. I expect there will be at least 1 more email about setting up your ballot group before the ballot takes place.

It’s gonna be rigged my friends. There’s so much fraud. I have my best people on it and they are telling me the lottery machine is from Venezuela. They aren’t putting all STH into the ballot. Did you know there are actually more STH than tickets ? I did not know that. We will never accept the results of this fraudulent election.

Indeed. I hear Brighton Lines is involved.

Excellent post.

Quite frankly and clearly, I won.

PB was on 5Live this morning (is he the go to guy they call or does he call them?) saying that with 2000 fans the club will lose money.
Meanwhile, does the club have any commitment to supply sponsors with tickets ahead of ST holders? If I was Amex and pumping £millions into the club I'd expect a couple, along with good old Donatelo who has backed the club for years.

In the midst of a global pandemic that has killed millions...

Millions?

Anyway...

I’m in the ballot but 2000 fans will seem weirdly hollow. Still, if all the vulnerable and elderly will have been offered the vaccine by the end of January then there’s no reason why we can have full houses from February or March onwards.

In which universe would this timeline work?? Not really plausible that all the at risk groups could be offered vaccine in Jan. Even if that were possible all the vaccines require 2 doses weeks apart. I suggest full stadia will be unlikely until after easter at the earliest.

Approaching 1.5m deaths worldwide.

9m over 70s in the UK, not to mention all those in the vulnerable category. I'm not thinking the government roll out will be that efficient that we'll be in full stadium by March.

I did the friendly v Chelsea and the atmosphere was anything but hollow, the crowd sang and both managers and sets of players seemed genuinely thank full for having some supporters in. It felt safer than going to a supermarket was well run, and everyone who could get in really enjoyed it.

Yep - having been to Asda this morning, the Chelsea game felt much safer. Asda have given up limiting numbers or organising queueing so the 2m rule was broken left right and centre. Even the concourse was a lot less busy than that and everywhere else was very well spaced. It was a bit weird but a lot better than watching on TV.

I fully expect Southampton players to give Albion fans a guard of honour.

Anyway, here's the official info, folks...

https://www.brightonandhovealbion.com/news/1916463/southampton-ticket-information

This is probably worth a new thread.

So...took me a moment to understand the Priority Window concept, but I wonder if the idea is you will be put into one of the 4 windows for the rest of the time (until full capacity allowed), and for each game they will switch around the order, to make it fair?

Also assuming the point of having priority windows and needing to actually claim your ticket, is to stop people being allocated tickets who then just don't bother turning up/don't even notice they've been "selected"? As it would cause a massive binfest if 2,000 were selected but 50-100 didn't bother turning up, when other fans would've gladly taken their spot.

That all make sense?

Also FYI - You will be able to log in and check which priority group you are after 5pm today, and it's the East and North that we'll be sitting in.

This. Sure, it was a little odd at first but actually a positive experience, and a far better atmosphere/volume of noise than I expected.

They have sensibly got rid of the maximum 6 opt outs. Anybody nervous about attending can wait without penalty until the stadium is at full capacity.
As I understand it there will now be very few (if any) tickets on the exchange as everybody who buys in their purchase window will actually want to go.
Mellotron I don’t think they will be switching the windows around for fairness. The ballot will determine your window and that is random.
