When do we find out who has been released and who has been transfer listed?

2 of those players are only on loan. Barnes and Noone aren't going anywhere, they are very good options in the championship

Perhaps Barnes but Nooney is behind Lua Lua and Buckley (and Vicente?) I think we should take Cardiff's offer, should they come back for him, and yes I know 2 are on loan, we can do better.

I have to be fair but honest, you can add Sparrow, Harley, Navaro, Poke, Noone, Barnes, Hoskins, Reyes and Vokes to that list. Harsh yes, fair yes. We will never progress unless we take out the old and bring in the new. Sign Assulin at all costs, he is going to be amazing. New keeper, a decent partner for CMS and a Patrick Viera plus support. Easy huh?

Assulin needs a decent pair of boots if he returns. On the Argus site someone posted that 2 of the keepers are going , I guess Poke is one of them and also Vincelot could be signing for Millwall.

If that list is right, then what a f***ing balls up. Maybe this goes some way to explaining why Ken Brown was sacked. Who the f*** sanctioned all them contracts to expire in 2013 before seeing how three quarters of them players performed in this division..
A contract extension also means that players can be put on the transfer list instead of them leaving for nothing. Better to get a nominal fee or as a "free" with add ons for appearances and promotion.

Half of them players wont command a fee in today's market. There will be to many out of contract players to choose from. There is not a lot of money around, especially from the sort of clubs who will be looking at half of those players.

Half the squad needs to go ,will be interesting to see who Gus has become attached to

It's comments like this that make it clear you know nothing about football, you must be a f***ing PLEASURE to sit next to at games. You've spent all season bitching that Gus overpaid for CMS and now you want him to get rid of 'half the squad'. How d'you propose he replaces them? Magics them out his arse? No, he'd have to spend huge amounts of money to replace a dozen players, thus giving you the ammunition for another boring six-month moan. Jesus wept.

The saving grace here. I hope. Is that loads of div 1 clubs would die for half our players on frees and that will see them move on. Far too much fat in our squad.

In all fairness a few on here said Gus was attached to Navs, but he isnt being offered a new contract despite playing reguarly, so i would have thought Gus has someone lined up already.

Only list now will be those who are transfer listed - or having contracts terminated, which is unlikely.

You play to much football manager. Yes i'm serious, don't forget they are the same players" on paper " that when push came to shove they took 12 pts from there last 13 games. No club is going to pay any sort of fee for an average player with a year let on his contract. Wait and see. The more likely senario is, that we paid up their contracts or come to some sort of deal with them and release them from their contracts. So they can negotiate the best deals for themselves....For example, who's going to pay £50k for Sparrow( i assume that's the sort of thing you are thinking) to us, then pay him a signing on fee, then pay an agents fee, then pay his wages??....When there are hundreds of as good players who are out of contract these days. Only players with more that a year left or who are very good are worth a wank these days.

Don't see Dicker going anywhere as he's Gus' love child. Also don't see Painter leaving at a time when he's our only left back, we'd have to be pretty sure of getting someone else in.

So you really think we should get rid of Barnes? Our top scorer, and a player who has come on leaps and bounds this season...

Painter listed
Ankergen listed
Dicker listed
Navarro released
Bergkamp listed
Poke listed
Harley listed

is my guess :)

One of the more sensible lists that I've seen! Mine would be pretty similar, too many people want to completely clear out anyone that isn't knocking on prem standard. Be fooked when the injuries come along...

While the retained/relased list is going to be mostly centred around youth team players coming through (or not, as teh case may be), there could also be a Leeds-type announcement of some players being transfer-listed.

Sparrow, Dicker, Painter, Hoskins, Vincelot, Ankergren, and possibly Brez (sell one keeper, but wouldn't sell both), would be my guess.

This is a no win situation though. Players are signed with the expectation that maybe half will turn out good. Would you really want to be negotiating to keep players in the summer. For everyone we are stuck with I suspect a few gems are tied up for longer. And also being able to attract a nominal transfer fee has to be better than just saying goodbye in most cases.

And frankly Bloom is loaded so doesn't care anyway. We're not talking about the days of Dick Knight paying long extended contracts to injured players which prevented us signing others.
