The calculator is useless now though as it assumes two doses, and 1m per week - if it’s one dose and 2m per week (for example) the effect on timing is enormous (cuts it by three quarters, essentially).

Don’t despair. On the calculator I’m going to be doubly vaccinated between May 2021 and April 2021. I think I have to cross the International Date Line at some point. The Omni Calculator is crackers.

Depending if they class ALL NHS staff as Health Workers: between 29/03/2021 and 05/04/2021. Where would the NHS be without it's IT dept's otherwise?

If not, between 19/01/2022 and 02/07/2022.

Based on this, how do our glorious nut job leaders expect to get back to normality by the spring

Criminal lying again

why are you taking the judgement of a website? NHS vaccinates ~30m people for flu every autumn, so 30-40 million for first dose by spring seems reasonable, with second rolling in to summer. the first jab is sufficient (70% efficacy for Oxford/Astra) if most the population has it.

Best thing, so far as I can see, is that there's no jumping the queue on this one by going private. Just wait your turn in the NHS. Tho I'm sure a small but c*ntish number of wiseguys will have made their own arrangements, same as they always do

This......it’s just a stats-based rough guide based on public information (assumptions), set up and run by a small, independent Poland-based startup that has hundreds of similar online calculators.......

It doesn’t have any accreditation/validation from anyone independent of the company as far as I can tell.

Good point.......doesn’t appear to a ‘private’ option.....

Interested to see when any MPs get jabbed [emoji2369][emoji2369]

Given a vaccination rate of 1,000,000 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your two doses of vaccine and be fully protected by between 01/02/2022 and 02/07/2022.

lol, I am not overly bothered about when it happens - but 2022 and we are lifting tiers in march?

So their calculation of the population and the age profiles is wrong?

Seems quite good to me.

Frustrating really. The people considered less important are the ones who are going to have to go ahead with the hassle of having to sort out COVID tests etc for travel.

I’d happily pay to skip any queues to wait if it means I can return to normal life.

I would hope that the powers that be have looked at those dates and have already decided this is not acceptable and it will be done faster. (And if it helps, I don't care if the person who sticks the needle in me has had radicalisation training or not.)

December. Very disappointing as from what the government had previously said I had April pencilled in to the diary.

I'm down to get mine, when the Albion next win a home league game, which means at least 30m people ahead of me

Just ran the test and got;

Your vaccine queue results
🚶*♂️🚶*♀️🚶*♂️🚶🏿🚶*♂️🚶*♀️🚶*♂️
Based on your profile, you are in priority Group 6. Given an uptake of 70.6%, there are between 1,218,715 and 7,785,794 people in front of you in the queue for a first dose of COVID vaccine across the UK.
📅 Given a vaccination rate of 3,056,416 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your first dose of vaccine between 22/02/2021 and 24/03/2021.

You should then get your second dose by between 17/05/2021 and 16/06/2021.

Last 7 days vaccination rate calculated using daily data from gov.uk's vaccination dashboard.

Which is interesting as I just booked an appointment for Saturday 20th - ahead of schedule:clap2:

Just tried the calculator and was predicted that I'd get the vaccine between 19/04/2021 and 04/05/2021.

So the Government are either going to hit their target of all Cat 9's before the end of April or fail it given the results above.

Got it yesterday so, here at least, we seem to be ahead of the curve.
