Was brought up in Livingstone Road, just along from the Exchange, and first went to the Goldstone aged six with my dad in August 1960 - Bristol Rvrs (6-1) with goals from Adrian Thorne (lots) and Bill Curry. Now in my 52nd year watching the shrimps/dolphins/seagulls and have never faltered, despite being a mean prop forward in my 20's. Dad stopped going regularly in the 90's (he was always very suspicious of Greg Stanley) but occasionally came along with my son and I until the move to Priestfield; he never went to Withdean and died before the Amex was approved. I look out his heritage stone before every home game and stop for a minute to remember that day in 1960.
