Gomez won't last full game, so feels like we push hard and wear them out first half, then early subs 2nd.

Questions / thoughts:

• I wonder if we should have Welbeck in from the start?
• I think Lamptey is back from his 1 match ban. Does he come back in and we put Jack in midfield for the first half?
• What abouts if Velts is fit?
• Who is in midfield alongside Baleba?!

Webster keeps his place above Dunk for me.

Subs of Solly, Welbeck, Adringa and a midfield shuffle should scare most defensive units.

My only comment would be that Weiffer is likely to be involved.
Either coming on to replace Baleba or possibly starting alongside Baleba with Gomez coming on to replace one of them.

And neither of us has mentioned Ayari who has done nothing wrong.

Only real questions are the starting midfield pair and RB………I’d probably keep Hinsh at RB and have Baleba and Gomez starting. Wieffer on for Baleba when/if needed, and Lamptey for Gomez with Hinsh moving to midfield

That's where I ended up with my thinking.

Although as others have said, we're not even mentioning Ayari who has done more than Wieffer of late

It's remarkable to actually have so many options it's a genuine unknown what our starting lineup will be.

Two full weeks between Man City and Forest games. We aint resting anyone for that. Especially not Mitoma

I suspect one or two of our players will pick up ‘minor knocks’ at City

The only real selection call in my view, is whether Lamptey comes back in. If so Hinsh goes into the midfield and Ayari comes out.

I guess Welbeck could displace Joao Pedro, or Georginio if he's fit to start. But I don't see that. We'll use Danny from the bench for a bit I think.

The bench is superb and allows us to change it up as required.
