Same year but can't recall having seen that.

A short list would include, Longest Day, Cape Fear and To Kill a Mockingbird. However, prefered the remake of Cape Fear so Mockingbird gets it.

If you get a chance I recommend it, its one of those "gritty, real life" films, similar in style to "Kes"

1981 was a decent year for films...

Raiders of the lost ark
American werewolf in London
Clash of the titans
Das Boot
Escape from New York
Cannonball Run
Arthur

and, er, Porky's.

So many great movies , Lawrence of Arabia , To Kill A Mockingbird , Birdman Of Alcatraz , Cape Fear , and The Longest Day to name but a few but obviously the one that tops the lot is of course .

This reminds me of another cracking living head separated from body B movie shocker. The Frozen Dead. The separated head was a sub plot to a freezer full of the Nazis kept frozen after WWII in order to be re animated in the 1960's to reek havoc once again. Only seen it once probably in the early seventies. I had nightmares for weeks.

Cracking Films in 1961, El Cid, Guns of Navarone, 101 Dalmations, but this has to be my fave. Ollie Reed's debut movie and ground breaking Werewolf make up.

Have to be a choice between Thunderball (Bond), For a Few Dollars More, or How to Stuff a Wild Bikini.
