From an English point of view, yes I know there are many things to be depressed about, but what for you is the worst thing?

Mine would be the performances of a certain striker who is supposedly rated among the best in the world...:nono:

Yep, a supposed top player of World football showing his true colours and turning out to be a useless fucktard.

Capello. Had such high hopes. All I've learnt is that he cracks under pressure, and doesn't seem to be able to adapt to the situation (losing/drawing against smaller teams) very well.

Despite failing to even qualify for Euro 2008 with practically the same team, the press and the nation still bigged us up as potential winners, even though we've been dicked on when we've played Spain and Brazil recently.

Now, all the absolute knobs saying "sack capello" "retire rooney" and other shit like that because we got knocked out by a better side.

The disgraceful game was the Algeria one. Not this one. Nobody with any sense really thought we were going to do much more than the quarter finals - problem is we ended up playing a quality side a round too early.

Obviously Rooney's been the biggest disappointment, because he's not even looked like scoring after being our main man in the qualifiers. He's been crap, yes.

Another major disappointment though - Aaron Lennon. It's all very well saying Rooney's shit, but half his goals have been headers this season. Lennon and SWP's crossing in the first two games was gash. I think Rooney's had one shot in the area all tournament, and part of that is down to our midfield being as creative as one of the H block goons at Withdean.

The defence, or more particular the centre backs and the 'holding' midfielder. Dire

That's what I was talking about. It's all confrontational stuff with no middle ground to be had.

And that's enough stalking for one evening from me.

Every part of that is absolutely spot on.

I am disappointed by the punditry and general coverage of both ITV and BBC. I thought they might step up their game, but no such luck.

The lack of atmosphere at the games and the empty seats, regardless of what FIFA will undoubtedly say after the tournament in my opinion hasn't been an overwhelming success thus far.

Face it, it is only the media that think that Rooney is world class.
Watching the other games he is not in the same league as people like Messi, Tevez, Kaka or like the likes of Zidane and Ronaldo were.

He is simply a good striker....nothing more. England don't have any world class players.

Correct...but only to a certain extent.

It's not just the media - half the nation has sadly believed the hype, and as a result are now calling him all the names under the sun. Ironic really, as without his goals we wouldn't even have reached the bloody tournament.

Atmosphere is a very good shout for disappointment as well. The Vuvuzela's just kill it.

On the plus side, there have been a lot less reports of carjacking and crimes in SA than had been anticipated.

England don't have any world class players.

That was exactly how I felt after the Algeria game, having seen a number of performances by players from other countries who were quite clearly World class, we had nobody even close to that description. The only positive is that I believe we have a number of players who didn't make the plane for South Africa who have the potential to be the best in the World.
