DOUGIE FREEDMAN blasted the penalty that robbed his Crystal Palace side of victory.
Ashley Barnes rescued a point for Brighton against their bitter rivals when ref Stuart Attwell adjudged Nathaniel Clyne had fouled Will Buckley in the box.

Eagles chief Freedman said: "I don't think that was a penalty but we were sloppy in giving the ref and linesman the opportunity to give one."

Barnes thumped home his ninth goal of the season to leave Freedman claiming: "Our award was more of a penalty. Wilf has quick feet and the defender lunged in.

"My player feels his back leg was taken.

"We took a grip, and we overpowered and outplayed them in the second half. They couldn't live with our movement.

"There was never any doubt Wilfried would stay. I have a fantastic board and they felt it wasn't time to sell him."

Brighton boss Gus Poyet said: "I didn't think either were penalties and I'm disappointed with a draw."

There was only one team in it at the end, like others have said, another 5/10 mins and we would have won. Its just so frustrating that it always takes us to go one down before Poyet goes for teams. I'm sure if we attacked more instead of making sure we don't lose, not only would we win more but it would be better to watch.....One last thing, that was about the seventh time I've been to Selhurst, its never been more noticeable than last night,,,what a outdated shithole it really is, thay should have burnt that down lol.

To be fair to freedman, all managers come on the the press saying they were better and didn't have the rub of the green etc etc. we all saw a different game to each other, bloke next to me thought el abd had a poor game ffs.....he was immense against a 7 million + player.

I fear for palace if they lose zaha and Gardner, they are really up shit creek.
