Can't believe it! My neighbour drives to work everyday, a journey that takes me 3 minutes to walk!
Lazy or what?!

I drive to Sainsburys which is around 15/20 minute walk away, but everything else is at least an hour walk away

Depends on the cirumstances. I'll drive to Alldays if it's raining, a round trip that would take 30 minutes on foot, but I wouldn't if it were fine.

I drive to work [1.5 miles] but only because I have to have the car during the day for site visits.

On the other hand we'll walk 3 miles to the pub sometimes.

The funniest one for me is the knobs who drive to the park to go for a jog.

I used to live in street with a school at the end of it: I regularly saw my neighbour opposite drive her child to the school - approximately one minute's walk away.

regularly, would be to work, about a 15 minute drive

Two people I work with, neither disabled, make daily journeys of about 100m! A third person drives past one of the other driver's houses from about another 100m up the road- every single day, rain or shine!

One of them does make a journey downhill, so they could just let off the handbrake and only use the engine for the 30 second journey home.:censored:

Apart from - in five years' time - a lardy arse and a belly you could build a stadum on.

Please tell me it's not in a 4x4...

In answer to your first point, she already has that, and to your second point, not a 4X4, but a Mercedes!

Now I feel really good about cycling the 14 miles from Elm Grove to Worthing today for work... What :tosser::tosser::tosser: these people are!

The school run probably. Takes about 50 mins each way, can walk to the post office etc.

At the foot of the downs
Pitch Invasion on Monday nights, its 20 mins by car. I would bike it but Bear Road would kill me before the game :)

Ah ... but your neighbour will no doubt tell you that it's TOO DANGEROUS to walk that distance. The street is full of parents driving their kids to school, for a start.

I expect she's already signed a petition demanding traffic calming outside the school gates.

I drive everywhere these days no matter how short the distance, I'd rather walk but the body has decided otherwise.
