On the Autobahn, on a racetrack?

Mine's about 110mph on the autobahn in Germany - it's great fun, especially when most else is doing it too and you have a clear(ish) conscience about it, i.e. there's no speed limit.

I hit 114 mph in my Peugeot 405 SRI back in 1993.

It was on a French autoroute coming back from a family holiday in Spain.

When I dropped back to 95 mph. It felt slow!

I don't think I've ever driven much above 100mph here, that's what a lifetime of Fiesta/Skoda ownership does for you.

I have been driven at about 140-150 by Johnny Herbert in a classic two-seater Jag round 4 laps of Silverstone. No roof, felt like my neck would break down the Hangar straight.

dont tell Mrs DTG as she was asleep, but in Austria last year, I drove at 145 MPH on the Insbruck/saltzburg motorway in a 2.0 Golf DTi

Exactly the same! I doubt it's faster than i've driven on a road but it was well over a ton. Best part is i probably drive faster than almost everyone and always corner hard but in that car the guy from the company is TELLING me to go FASTER through the corners! I wish i was there again now, fantastic fun!

and that is still significantly slower than it's top speed of 180

[Dis]honourable mention goes to my 6-speed Fiat Panda VIP, that managed 99 on the M23. I bottled the 100 as it felt like things were about to start falling off!!

I was the proud owner of a Porsche 911 about 8 years ago, and I all but maxed it out once, speedo read 160.

It was probably on an Autobahn somewhere cos that speed would have been illegal in the UK.

did 130 as i just touched chelsea bridge from battersea, as i went hard on the brakes before the lights
did glasgow to portsmouth in 5hours, 40 mins ( 2 tem minute fag breaks and 20 minute food stop) and its just 500 miles
to be honest i can't be bothered now, too many speed traps and traffic, rather just potter at 65-70
