What's the deal with Bruno, recently?

He seems a shadow of the player that arrived at the Albion in a whirlwind of hyperbole.

He doesn't seem quite so marauding.
It certainly seemed like over half his crosses didn't clear the first man.

I'm still not calling for my Albion hero Caldi back.
But, currently, I don't think there's the gulf in class between them there once was.

It was his pinpoint cross that picked out Orlandi wasn't it?
I don't quite see the point you are making.

As I'm NOT saying he's sh*te, can't cross, and Caldi should be playing.

I suspect other managers have noticed how well our full backs were playing and set up their teams do something about it. It's so unfair

He had one outstanding game for us and to be honest he will struggle to hit that type of form on a regular basis as he was unplayable that day. Since then I think he has been solid and still poses a significant threat going forwards.

Even on an off day offers more than calde in IMO will be nailed on for that position until injured or suspended

Yeah there's plenty in that.

I'd say there was more than one outstanding game, assuming you are talking about Barnsley.

Maybe it's just something I only noticed last night, but he wasn't cleanly beating his man, and getting the crosses over.

While typing it occurred to me it could just be as simple as the change of ends.
Bruno was in front of me for the first half when everybody is that much fresher.
I'm used to seeing him 'put a shift in' in the last 20 mins.

I think it's more a problem with us than him - we thought he was the messiah when he had a couple of outstanding games. He's a quality player, but he's also susceptible to a few off days occasionally and we need to be aware of that.

I thought Bruno did ok last night - some good stuff going forward but maybe he was a bit naive with Varney looking to fall over so easily for that penalty.

I think teams have sussed out how important it is to shut down Bruno and Bridge so they are not getting so much space, especially away from home. Plus I think teams have learned to put pressure on Greer fast.

It will be interesting to see how much Bridcutt is missed because his close support to the back four is vital. Whoever takes his place will have to be lively.

Bruno has had to play a more defensive role , he can't bomb down the wing every match.

He's giving the ball away a lot at the moment. Form is temporary and all that...

Appalling miss otherwise he would have beautifully set up our winning goal & this post would not have been started
Not quite, Bruno just hasn't 'done it' for a couple of games, now.
There's a fair few reasons floating around here, for that.
Chances are the reason is a little bit of all of them, and half a dozen reasons we don't know.
But nobody is saying this thread is a wrong'un.

He's still a class act, I still think Greer has been very suspect defensively in the past couple of games.
