A blues track, given an up tempo rockabilly drive.
This band went on to change styles after the purists on the scene back then totally ignored them.
They went on to become Psychobilly legends, I like both styles, and would have Death Letter Blues in my all time top ten records.
True story:
Few years ago was fixing a leak a leak on a driveway for a customer over Kettering, when the old lady comes out and asked if we can move some of our kit out the way as her son wants to get his car out of the garage.
Half hour later this cool dude walks out of the house dressed like he just time warped out of the 60’s, opens up the garage and jumps into a car from the same era, not sure what it was.
He drove off chicaning round our kit into the sunset, then his mum pops out and started to tell us that he was in a band called Temples and just off to practic. Never heard of them but went home that night and listened.
Really good 60’s/ indie sound and kept an eye on them ever since. Playing at Patterns on the 14th Sept.
