Recently got myself a new pc (the old one was very old, and struggling) and I now have the capability to 'burn' music onto CD.
Whey hey, all this talk of downloading CD's for buttons that is driving the profits out of the mega rich music companies, suddenly I can join in.
Hmm, Napster have gone legal and the price appears to be about £9-10 per CD. Not clever as I can buy the originals cheaper than that if I search around. Maybe that's just them, what about the rest
But .... there seem a lot of them about and they all want a subscription up front. Some eg, thedownloadplace.com make it sound brilliant. Ooh, just one payment of $29.95 and I have unlimited downloads for a year. But are they 'free' downloads? Surely not, that would be just so cheap, but I can't see prices anywhere.
What's everyone's experience? Where's good, where's bad. There's just too much choice and they all want money, I'm going dizzy.
Help .....
