It worked perfectlyI went in to the butcher's today and said "I'd like some bacon please." He said "Lean back?"
I said "I'd like some bacon please."
Somehow, this joke isn't working?
That’s brave of you to admit you were wrong all of those years. Brown is superb on an English breakfast though alongside the red.Back, non-smoked, THICK CUT (crucial). Cooked till crisp.
I was a brown saucer, but have recently converted to the red and have not regretted it.
Beef 'bacon' is also dire. If it ain't pork, it ain't bacon.Nice try, but of all things veggie, veggie 'bacon' is simply the pits. If you want to be veggie, then giving up bacon sandwiches is the first pre-requisite - you'll never have another one, or anything remotely like it.
I had a belated epiphany. That’s brave of you to admit you were wrong all of those years. Brown is superb on an English breakfast though alongside the red.
We’re getting an air crier Saturday morning….. I’m getting excited about it now.I had a belated epiphany.
Plus I'm air-frying my bacon these days - another revelation. I've been doing it wrong for so many years.
Outside of the Albion right now, my air fryer is the singlemost exciting thing in my life. We’re getting an air crier Saturday morning….. I’m getting excited about it now.
That is a sandwich with bacon somewhere in it. Its not a bacon sandwichSoft white!?
No, it has to be lightly toasted Granary, a touch of English Mustard and Mayo, crisp lettuce and sliced tomato.
But I don't miss it...
Oooh, do Waitrose have their own line of nitrite free bacon? They seem to have stopped stocking the Naked streaky in the Lewes & Hailsham branches and the back just won't do for a decent bacon sandwich! My preference is non nitrates cured streaky.
The naked brand or Waitrose own brand.
You obviously read the Guardian, have a beard and wear crocs, but that actually doesn't sound half bad.can't eat bread these days so no sandwiches. Incinerated streaky bacon with avocado, fried mushrooms, scrambled eggs, a couple of oatcakes and a dab of hollandaise. Don't judge me.
What is the difference? Can you taste the nitrates or something, or are they bad for you? Genuinely never heard of this.Oooh, do Waitrose have their own line of nitrite free bacon? I'm a Gemini so one of each for me.I am a Pescatarian so fish finger sarnie for me.
I’m a Pisces so find that in very bad taste.I'm a Gemini so one of each for me.
Indifferent to your question. Cut the rind off the smoked bacon, and cook it for longer so it crisps up. Sourdough bread, ketchup, no butter.I was back. But I bought some streaky this weekend, for the first time in a while. And it crisped up really nicely and was a delight in the soft white bread with butter. The bacon fat was turning orange and the bacon itself was dark and almost burnt. Glorious.
