Whatever happens from here on in, I have to say it has been one of the most enjoyable Summers for watching Sussex Cricket in my lifetime!

Highlights have obviously been the Twenty20 games at Hove, Mushy's incredible haul of wickets, and James Kirtleys sensational bowling in the third test!

From an inauspicious start to pressing Surrey all the way for the title, Peter Moores, Chris Adams and all the players, ground staff etc.. deserve a round of applause for they're efforts over the past few months!

I'm with Italia, I have never been to a proper cricket match until the SA game at Hove this summer, Saturday was again another enjoyable day out and I hope to watch the mighty Sussex again soon!

Athletics suck BTW :D

Watching Kirtley destroy South Africa this morning was fantastic. Which I could be down in Sussex to watch the county games :(

god yes dave the well bowled maiden over is one of the hardest things to tell someone about when your watching cricket and you burst into applause when they dont like cricket and say "but he did'nt do anything and the batsman did'nt run anywhere!" - wicket maidens are truly angels in diguise!

At Hove County Grammar we were taught cricket and in fact one of my class mates went on to become wicket keeper for Sussex ladies

Did you ever see the German bloke in the Moscow olympics who was in the 400mts hurdles. He clattered a hurdle and went down like a sack of spuds. Turned out, he had "popped out " shall we say and the hurdle parted his manhood from the rest of his body.

Excellent

In my computer
I HAD to learn cricket - my Pop sat us down and we weren't allowed to say a word unless we were asked first - and even then it was only at the end of an over - we got grilled about field placement and bowling styles - and that was all when I was about 7...

so I realized the power of a maiden over at a very early age - in fact I though maiden was always to do with cricket - not females in the field..
