After two losses i dont think the midfield are gelling and I think j.wright still has to settle with the defence. also if we want to be a footballing side I would be playing the defence that is being played atm. if everyone was fit who would you play?

my team would be

Kuipers

Whing Tunnicliffe Elphick Mcnulty

Dicker Navarro (c)

Wright Cox

Dickinson
Davies

I would have dicker and navarro sit in just in front of the back four as they can show easy targets for the cenre halves to pass to and also dicker and navarro can both win balls and are strong. Then I would have dickinson just behind davies as dickinson could win the balls hold them up and davies could finish as no one else seems to be hitting the target of the net right now!

I would keep it 4-4-2, give Dicker and Murray a start, possibly McNulty - at least 45 minutes

Kuipers

Did you not witness his "finishing" last season then?

Right fair enough the guys first touch is pretty poor aswell but at least he scored goals in pre season, PLUS he hasnt been given a go yet and you never know. I dont know y but i just see him and dickinson geing a good match. I think this because they both absolutely work their arses off and close every ball down, also theyd up the tempo as they both have pace and i believe we have had no tempo upto now.

one thing is for sure though its the team that hasnt gel'd yet and i dont think they have found the right pairs yet. up front i say the dicko and davies saga as from what i rememver that is pretty much the only partnership that hasnt been tried yet. in midfield i defo dont think thornhill or crofts has done it for me as of yet. Also with defence everyones basing this on last season, but if you base it on last season what happend, we had to fight for safety and once again were not looking good so it needs changing.

I would LOVE that line up for the majority of the season, I think that would be a quality side and I really do hope that's how we'll be when all are fit. League 1 beware.

As Slade has said, until he's blue in the face, that it's going to take time. So in the meantime everyone should calm the f*** down. Ok, we've lost against a shite team at Withdean. Disappointing yes but disaster no.

We were never going to win tonight. I can't think of a worse draw really. Swansea: hostile and a hell of a long way; a team that just missed out on Championship play offs, a great passing side and a new manager's first home game: all in all a very tall order.

Remember we are still re-building. The Slade wants to sign another 2 or 3 ( at least one midfielder and a striker surely?) so it will take several weeks yet before The Slade knows his best 11.

I have one gripe...why isn't Dicker playing?

Forster for Murray and I'd go with that, for now.

I agree with the selections of Wilko and HseagullsH, but it looks so far that we all seem to agree that Dicker should be back in midfield. Anyone got any ideas why RS hasn't played him yet?

We've got to change the midfield around. We're never going to score a goal at this rate. The defence defends quite well, but Elphick and Virgo are basically donkeys when the ball is at their feet, so I'd get Tunnicliffe in. Upfront Dickinson deserves a chance to justify the price tag, and Forster is clearly the best partner for him right now. As much as I like Murray, if he can't be arsed he needs to f*** off. When Davies is fit I wouldn't be averse to him taking some of Forster's playing time either. So at Brentford, I'd go:

Michel

Whing Virgo Tunnicliffe Wright (Jimmy Mac when fit)

Wright Dicker Thornhill Cox

Dickinson Forster

You've got no reason to suggest dropping Elphick, the donkey comment is frankly incredible and completely irrelelvant considering he's a centre back and defending is his job. Elphick was superb against Walsall, and it sounded the same tonight aswell. We've been undone by a better side today, that's football, but from the (sketchy) commentary, it didn't sound like our defence played badly at all.
