What was your most bizarre way of travelling to an away game?

Inspired by Peter Grummitt's thread re hitch-hiking to away games, try this one...

Unable to get a coach or hire a mini-bus we were forced to hire the only means of transport for the Derby County away match in the League Cup (Carling Cup) back in the 70's. The following for the Albion at away matches has always been great.

Anyway we ended up with a furniture lorry. Our local the Maytee let us 'borrow' three or four tables with chairs which we tied with rope to various parts of the inside of the lorry.

Off we set and going through Sarf London (Palace territory) we decided to open the back door up as the traffic was snarled up. Must have looked strange to the pedestrians as a lorry of drinking Albion supporters crawled through the traffic. Great days!!!!!

One season we played Swindon away mid-week and Bristol Rovers away on the following Saturday. As it was Easter, I took three days off work, Tues-Thurs, and cycled to Swindon and then on to Bath (well, just outside, actually). And then cycled back on the Sunday/Monday. So, I can say I have cycled to two away games.......Fortunately, it didn't rain once.

I started a journey to a game on a tuk tuk to Manila Airport.
I then caught a flight to Dubai
From Dubai I flew to Gatwick
I was then driven back to Brighton where I droppedf my stuff off and got a train to Reading

Molango then scored after 12 seconds. That was quite bizarre and covered a few thousand miles

Did you stay in a hotel, or did you TRAMP it?

Some going that ! I drove a hire car to Austin Airport, plane to Dallas, Dallas to Gatwick, train from Gatwick to Watford Junction. I met a mate there and we then drove up to Rochdale.
