Narcissistic, self centred, controlling, selfish bully.... major contributor to my anxiety condition in later life...
he won't be getting a card. ****

best thing about it was I realised I could break that cycle and treat my own kids and family with love, care and respect.

(Edit after rant) a hospital porter

Claim to fame. My dad used to service Barry Sheen's helicopter at Shoreham Airport. He got me a signed poster.

Mine, after various trades, bought a hardware shop, which he ran until he retired. Luckily sold up before the emergence of b&q, Wickes etc.

My late father was a compositor. Is there such trade any more in this computer age?

A labourer at the old Shoreham power-station.
Might have known my father, born in 1925, enlisted in the Royal Navy at the outset of war at 14/15 years of age, spent the war years on convoy protection vessels guarding against air and sea attacks by the Germans whilst sailing to Murmansk and Arkangel (sp) resupplying for the war effort of the Russian front. Then once demobbed married my mother and worked on the construction of the new breakwaters and harbour at Shoreham then took up employment at Shoreham B power station on the build there then latterly his work was primarily trimming out the holds of the collier ships delivering coal to said station. Died in 1990 just prior to being eligible for state pension !
