Gods country fortnightly
Remember getting done by Cardiff at the Goldstone (about 93), it was 4 or 5 nil but could have been double figures)

In the Amex era, Cardiff and Bournemouth were truly shocking.

Pre-Amex - plenty! The ones I recall the most were the 4-0 defeat in the FA Cup by non-league Walton & Hersham and the 8-2 drubbing by Bristol Rovers

Bowdon actually , Cheshire
Worst personal experience watching a completely inept performance was a cold Saturday 14th January away Crewe 1995, we were 4-0 with something like 20 minutes gone, and it stayed like that, such a depressing day, and when I realised something is not right at our club, for me that signalled the start of the rot.
I think that was my worst. The 7-1 at Huddersfield was bad but at least we scored the best goal in that day. We were abject against Crewe

Nothing beats that day at Selhurst for me. Didn't Johnson get a hat trick? There was thousands of us there. Kettled down that residential street for ages afterwards. Just grim.

I was there too. I think it must be the closest ground to a railway station.

I stood in with the home fans and you bastards spotted me. I started flicking V signs at you and had to move as I was worried I was going to get chucked out :ROFLMAO:

Chucked out, that would have been a blessing in disguise.

Just before half time, we tried to leave and go to the pub, the stewards laughed at us and kept us in, eventually they let us out on around 65 mins I think, anyway I could not be bothered going to the pub by then....

I was proper pissed off

Stockport away 95
Orient away slade 1st game was sure we was going down
I only missed two or three away matches that year. That one was the second last. I was working night shifts and got back home. My Mum woke me up the following morning and said I needed to get up and get the train. I just grumbled and went back to sleep. Couldn't be bothered that day.

About 6 weeks or so later we won 3-0 at Orient. I was working in Crawley and got the train, picking up my car at Three Bridges. Got caught in a snow storm on the A23. I remember a huge lorry speeding past me and struggling to control the car. Probably my scariest driving experience.

It was actually 5-3. Although two Albion goals came very late on. I seem to remember we had been on a good run at the time. Start of '94, I think.

Kids on NSC, did you see the age demographic thread?! 😂

I don’t think the two era’s are exclusive when it comes to comparing shocking performances though. With the money we’ve spent and quality of player we’re able to put out these days and against opposition last night with much less resources than us, it is perfectly acceptable to moan about that heartless and brainless performance. I was there at Priestfield to watch us lose 1.3 at home to Cambridge etc etc and can say in their own ways the performances were equally as bad.

But anyone asking for a refund is a tube.
I think it’s a shame to hear Brighton fans using the ‘should be beating teams like…’ argument. It’s a football match. The unexpected sometimes happens. That’s the magic of the game.

At the Amex - the worst ever performance , by quite the distance , was the 1-0 defeat to Millwall in 2014.
Effectively the end for Hyppia.

f***ing hell! A thread for the aged! Anyone who had the misfortune to follow the Albion through the Archer years and then Gillingham, witnessed many, many atrocious performances, funereal humour and some staggering terrace camaraderie.

Darlington and Gabbiadini destroying us while we are at Gillingham. We might have got a goal. I can’t remember. I just remember the 4 that they got and thinking that this was supposed to be “home”.
