Lucky enough to have been near Oulton Park so watched a load of Bike/Car races in the late 1960's. Knew a few short cuts into the circuit (ahem) so didn't always PotG

Can't remember who was on it (Jim Redman?) but the 250 Six cylinder Honda was an unforgettable sound!

Formula 5000 in the early 1970's was epic as well. Oulton is not a wide circuit and you wondered how overtaking actually took place.

I can't remember specifics but the first thing that came to mind was watching Barry Sheen motorbike racing and F1 mid 70's, I guess my first attendance to a larger sporting event would have been the Goldstone around '78/9

My mother didnt care for sports so I had no natural way into it really and while I was too young for World Cup 1994, Sweden missed the 96 and 98 tournaments so I was a late bloomer in sports watching.

International: Euro 2000. Belgium vs Sweden, first full game I ever saw. Belgium won 2-1, goals by Bart Goor, Emile Mpenza and Johan Mjällby.

National: My mother had a boyfriend who thought I should watch Zlatan before he left Sweden so he took me to Malmö FF - Norrköping in early 2001. The game ended 0-0 which probably helped from turning into a Malmö fan.

Local: Started to watch Lunds BK (on my own) in the 3rd tier instead and at my first game Lund were 0-2 down before turning around and winning 3-2 through a last minute bicycleta by Johannes Eile. 20 years later they are still in the same division.

Local - early SCCC memories are very fuzzy as I was first taken to the County Ground as a baby and then continuously... a game against Derbyshire when I was about 6 years old (c.1975) stands out as the game was stopped to rescue me from under an old iron crush barrier that I managed to pull down on top of myself...

National - easy one. Very clear memory of watching Southampton beat Man Utd in May 1976. Went up Holmes Avenue to a friend’s house that had a big colour telly. Aged 7 then and I have nothing national before that.

International - I remember “being Mark Spitz” swimming in the bath which is my earliest memory of any type.

1971 cup final as can recall Charlie George's flat on back celebration.

Earliest huge disappointment has to be the 1973 world cup qualifier loss to Poland at Wembley. Their keeper played a blinder and had a little luck too. And then the actual 74 finals was spoilt by the efficient Germans beating the beautiful total football Dutch

My dad detests all sport and in particular football, but strangely he bought me a ball when I was 6 with Espana 82 all over it… and so it slowly began!

It must be the 1966 World Cup final. Got back from a year in the Far East on HMS Ark Royal on the Wednesday before the final. Probably the only match I watched all season.

National: Second division Southampton beating Utd in the Cup Final '75
International: Can't remember the specific fight, but as a special treat I was allowed to stay up late to watch Muhammad Ali fight. Might even have been the rumble in the jungle in '74 or the '75 Bugner fight

Local - I just about remember the coverage of the departure from the Goldstone on the news and everything around that

2/3 of mine are same as studio 150!!

Local - Bournemouth 3 - 0 Aston Villa in the third division in October 1971 (I lived in Bournemouth area until 1991). I possibly went to one or two earlier Bournemouth games ... but this one was particularly memorable. Dean Court was rammed for this top of the table clash. Villa ended up winning the league 71/72 season, Albion 2nd and Bournemouth 3rd (when only 2 went up).

National - 1970 FA Cup Final ... Chelsea v Leeds 2-2 followed by replay. It was brutal!

International - 1970 World Cup ... especially England quarter final 3-2 defeat to West Germany after Gordon Banks had fallen ill and Peter Bonetti had to go in goal. Plus the final itself ... Brazil were just sublime!

Wimbledon speedway before 1961 when I moved to Sussex, remember little orange badges with pictures of the riders. Taken there by mum and dad although I don't remember them being big fans, all rather odd!
