So, to celebrate the re-running of the first series of Inbetweeners for peeps like me who never got into it the first time around, here's a poll that requires an honest answer.

Were you quite happy being a 'nerdy' kid or a 'Goth/Emo'?

Were you an Inbetweener, either by choice because you didn't really like 'geeks' or 'townies', or by default cos you really wanted to be in with the 'cool crowd' but were actually just not quite 'street' enough?

Or were you genuinely a 'Kool Kat'? Did you feel like everyone wanted to be you and your rep was all that mattered?

Or is there a group i've missed, if so what?

Poll to follow...

I don't remember these groups existing when I was at school. To me the idea of these sorts of splits in school was an american thing. Most of the football team were in the top english, science, and maths clasess on merit, most of them did IT, some were also in media studies or drama. There was no real nerd/cool kid split.

When I was at school there were only a few real social groups. The townies (most of whom were from the rough parts of Hastings), the chess club style computer geeks and the kids who were into grunge and rock music, into which category I fell. There was no such thing as emo back then. Maybe Battle was a little bit too sheltered to pick up on American trends!

I was a real inbetweener, I played for the school football team and also was a regular in the after school reading club in the library. I'm right slap bang in the middle.

I was a dope smoking indie kid to busy listening to music and getting stoned to do anything else.

I don't really think there were specific groups as such when I was at school either, I just think looking back now most people could put themselves into one of those 5 groups.

I'm surprised at people's honesty here to be honest, i was really expecting more people to believe that they were the coolest kids in school
