If we got to the final everyone who has been saying we'll do shit will look a tit and suddenly start saying how amazing the team is.

Football is a funny old game. You only have to look at Greece winning it.

Both Greece and Denmark weren't expected to do anything, no one lining up against them got especially motivated. Whenever someone plays England it's massive for them, they raise their game, it's the one they look forward to. And besides, our media would never allow our team to play like Greece did and park the Parthenon in front of the goal. I would be chuffed to bits to be made to look a tit through England getting to the final, but it is a risk I'm pretty happy to take as we really are not very good!

What do I do? I stop looking at NSC, get my mountain bike out and discover the world............

Well OK then, not the WHOLE world, you understand, just that little bit of it that I can pedal to.

If it gets too hot for that then I may head off to the lido, problem is that everyone else seems to have the same idea....... as long as that includes a few hotties, what's to complain about?

You lucky b*stards have got a beach FFS, what are you waiting for.....

I still don't think anyone could really say that the Greece team of 2004 (nor the Denmark team of 1992) was 'amazing'.

but good enough to win!

I'm more and more thinking England will do well to get out of the group.

I'll enjoy Euro 2012 either way, but it's not the same is it?

I think England could do okay, international football is always fine margins, perhaps not being so fancied we'll play more as a team, and if you get a little bit of fortune you never know. I don't expect us to be particularly exciting or great, but I look forward to seeing how we get on. Then its pre-season friendlies and Olympic football, I don't think it'll be too bad a summer!
